Here's the thread I made with the setup I went with. Quadlock Case/Mount + Akro Designs Insert. I have had zero issues with the MAG mount but they do offer a twist lock version that easily allows one handed operation.

I ended up going with an Afterplug cable. May try some other cables but this seems to do the trick. Wish it was slightly shorter but it does the job and looks clean!

I have a little USB light in both of the USB-A slots in my Lariat Lux. Front goes off instantly but the rear takes a bit of time. Never sat and waited but checked back 30 minutes later and it was off. Not sure if its the same for the outlet or not.
