We have coyotes, us, and ticks. Ticks are the worst. Hate seeing deer covered with them.
I'd buy them flea and tick collars if I could just figure out how to get 'em to stand still long enough to put 'em on ;)
Man...that truly sucks. I worry about this every day. Had one leap in front of me, maybe 30yrds?...and it was a beautiful doe, my brain turned on yelling ALWAYS MORE THAN ONE and I slammed the pedal just as the second one hopped out of the brush right in front of me.
With fewer and fewer...
Towing 4 down is a dream, for many reasons listed above. Plus, I can drop my toad in just about 1 minute flat. I start the toad, take tension off the tow bar, disconnect from the toad, unhook the safety chains, disconnect the light harness, and I'm done. We've done it sometimes at gas...
I truly couldn't care less how often or why someone else changes oil. I couldn't care less about most of what someone else does.
It's when people start telling me I'm wrong for doing something the way I do it, that has no bearing on them, that I draw the line :)
I used to spend some time online with some diesel pusher motorhome guys.
The one's that were not weekend warriors, but that put a lot of miles on their rigs all used Blackstone to figure out when to change oil.
At 40-45qts of oil per change, it made perfect sense.
They changed filters...
Not sure if this is paywalled...but.
NYT just did a write up on Arity. It's a company that specializes in "driving data", and helps to assign a Driver Score to you that insurance companies then use to adjust your rates.
Arity & Driver Score
This didn't happen with my Ford, it happened with my Volvo, and I was shown, in writing, that Volvo doesn't sell the data. I believe the state sold my data.
As pertains to "data"...
My other car is a Volvo. When we purchased it and contacted insurance, they wanted to know how many miles per year we were going to drive with the car.
I told them less than 10,000, which was true.
2yrs went by and grandbabies appeared 300mi away :) Very joyous event...
Thank you for posting this. It's a relatively small thing, but I ask myself that question everytime I get in the truck. Why don't they leave it where I last set it???
Will check out the links above.

I used Dynamat on a 69 Camaro I restored some years back. Worked really well, and easy to apply if you've got the time. One of the places a lot of guys missed was the interior sides of the doors. Once it's done it just makes for such a solid feeling/sounding vehicle.
May be in my future...
I did my second fillup yesterday, so first run on a full tank.
This tank had no highway miles, and a fair amount of A/C usage.
I was curious about how accurate the "Miles to E" estimate was.
I pumped 13.2gal, specs say it's a 13.8gal tank, so just about 1/2 gal in the tank when I filled up...
Are you sure you don't need 4? I think in Maine it's illegal to just run 2 studded tires.
*******EDIT*************
My bad. Diff for FWD than 4WD:
" Yes, Maine law allows front-wheel-drive vehicles to have studded tires on only the front wheels. However, some say that installing snow tires...
Maybe a dealer money maker, but not the dealer I bought the truck from. He said I can have it done at any Ford dealership.
Also, a friend who's been in the used truck business, albeit almost entirely Chevrolet, said that he was very impressed with their frame protection. He does Thin Film, and...
I say MSRP, and it's a Hybrid, but I paid the doc fee, and I bought the frame protection package as well, since one of the things keeping my Silverado from getting a Maine Insp Sticker is frame rot.
Maine salt is NOT kind to vehicles.
