I cut a bed liner with a Rotozip with a sabercut bit. First marked it with a silver Sharpie and then taped well around the area. I had a lot of practice with the Rotozip beforehand, cutting slots in PVC fenceposts for a property.

I used a utility knife with a straightedge. I read a post where someone used a saber saw with a fine-toothed metal blade. That didn't work at all, but the utility knife worked great. Make sure it is a new blade. A dull blade won't have a chance.
