I changed my to a first edition yesterday. It is like a modification and your numbers are the same, it doesn't cancel your first order and make a new one or anything.
There are great pictures from the Chicago auto show on reddit
Here is the back of an xlt - the passeger rear seat doesn't get the built in massager - https://preview.redd.it/2puyt64a2mb71.jpg?width=1824&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eb733ab397a62573ac213764fe97cadbc2fa27d5
My wife has wireless android auto in her car and I agree it sucks that synch 3 doesn't have it because 1. we have the wireless charger and 2. we don't have integrated gps so we need more than bluetooth for audio. On the other hand, our phones kind of fight for which one connects when we get in...
I hope you are right, and I agree it doesn't make sense. It worried me that it only had he one number, 54P. Learning from this thread that 54P was the lariat luxury package made me feel so much better.

I know that "your mileage may vary" but, for what its worth, my wife had a 2013 cmax and never had problems with it. I still drive a 2012 ford escape awd hybrid with 150K miles on it and, knock on wood, it keeps tooling along just fine. Actually that's why I want a mav is that it is the vehicle...
Also the pocket terminator looks about the right size but it is not visually appealing https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/989790998/vintage-rare-pocket-terminator-sound
Something like this could display pictures, etc...
You've gotten me thinking about this space.
Have you seen measurements for it?
I am guessing it is about 4" high and what, about 3" wide?
I thought about 3d printing some kind of basket or ledge or shelf or something to hold USB drives. In my vehicle now they get mixed up with whatever junk...
