I agree with you. My wife has had a couple of cars with built in nav but I always used android auto instead. Google maps, and also waze, is much better at picking up real time what is happening on other people's phones and changing the plan on the fly -
"there is a traffic mess up there so get...
Oh, also about the escape. Having the 8" screen on all mav trim levels really is a bonus. The escape had a little screen that was just for the back up camera, I swear it was 3 or 4" diagonal. Here is a link to the dealer's pictures of the carbonized gray escape-...
This may or may not be important to you. You can "stream" music to the car with bluetooth, but to use carplay to show the map on your screen you either need to have your phone plugged in to one of the usb slots with a cable OR buy a third-party wireless unit that plugs into one of the usb slots.
I thought it was way darker than iconic silver or cactus gray and lighter than black. That bronco is how it looked on the escape to me. I like the way the black trim goes with the gray. It is going to look good on the mav imho.

I like the carbonized gray. It probably sounds stupid but I was wondering how the black would contrast with the gray or...
I can't really say anything, because I ordered carbonized gray which is the most -blend-in-with-the-road-in-some-other-driver's-rear-view-mirror color, but I really do believe that the only job the color of a vehicle has is to be easy to be seen (by other drivers and by you in a crowded parking...
My state only has rear plates and I didn't ask for one, but it is on my order form - are you sure that it won't be on there? I feel like they will put it on there if it is on the order?
On my order sheet it has it listed. I didn't request it, but the dealer must have added it on there. I didn't want to ask to change it, but I think I better.
I don't think that link is for the actual harbor freight web site, it looks more like a web site were someone posts harbor freight coupons. I enjoyed looking at the link and clicked on the "browse all coupons" link - it was news to me.
