Can someone tell me about the rear door applique. something happened to mine where it looks like it got dimpled. Is this trim piece painted? Is it vinyl coated. Can it be sanded and repainted? Does anyone know how to remove it. Looks like a small bolt at the bottom, but I can't figure out...
I took it in for the blinker recall, and asked that the radio be fixed under warranty, having put back the original OEM speaker. Didn't provide the details of what I did. Apparently, the blinker fix was through the OBD2 connector, and they just cleared the ACM codes. After that the speaker...
Not sure if an autopart store will have a scanner that can read the ACM module. Forscan would work if they are up to the model date. I'm also looking at OBD Software as they say they can read the ACM. Disconnecting the battery will NOT reset the ACM, tried that. Also, Sync reboot, or Sync...
Don't know if anyone else has experienced this. After reading all the forums here about upgrading the center dash speaker I purchased the Infinity Reference 3-1/2" 2-way REF-3032CFX. Since it is 4 ohms, I also bought the 4 ohm 50 watt resistor to add in series. The speaker came with a...
Can you recommend a scanner tool or software that will read all modules and permit resets, dealer level access.
I've seen Forscan, but not sure how good it is, or easy to use, being freeware.
obdsoftware.net seems to have a nice product and it says it does all modules if you buy the Ford...
Got the clips today. Dealer had to order them. New clips are white, old clips were a lime green. Paid $7 for a package of six clips. Would have liked them to be green to match but guess it doesn't really matter.
Tell me is this right. Looking to determine which wire is positive.
With a 9V battery, touched the positive of the battery to the white strip lead on the spearker, negative to the all black wire - the speaker pushed "UP". So that should mean that the white striped lead is the positive.
On...
Does anyone know where I can buy spare retainer clips that hold down the dash center cover, and the left and right tweeter covers. couldn't find a ford part #.
My 2024 Lariat, which is only two months old, lost the channel for the center dash speaker. All others are working. Just wanted to post to see if this is going to be a problem issue. I have an appointment with the dealer for Jan 31 to look at it. I tried all the screen reboots and reset to...
No solution yet. I tried a dash mounted mirror but that didn't work, as the rear window is higher than the dash and the mirror had to be tilted up to see the rear window, then all you saw was sky, not the cars behind you. I'm still working on the concept. I got some mirror parts coming from...
These diagrams don't seem to be complete. After all, its a 8 speaker system and the above diagram only shows five speakers, and this below diagram shows three. But there are duplicates, like LR and RR. The above diagram shows the speakers eminating from the DISP, take it that is the amplifier...
This is the center dash speaker on the B&O Maverick 8 speaker system. The factory OEM wiring shows a solid black, and a black with white stripe. I've read that in many cases the solid black is usually the negative. Not being able to fine a wiring diagram, can anyone tell me for sure which of...
I have the original OEM speaker installed. I did the screen reboot. Then I did the Sync3 reset to factory defaults. Current software is up to date. Nothing worked. Center speaker is still dead. Guess its a dealer item now. Bit reluctant to disconnect battery. I know how, just don't know...
Wire color: just check, the dash wires of the speaker are green with white strip and blue with white strip. The speaker wires after the pull apart plug are black/white and all black.
I'm going to double check polarity, but don't think that would eliminate the signal.
Mine is a 2024 Lariat, and the colors are as I stated. I did try reversing, but that made no difference. I plan to put the original speaker back in and if necessary take it to ford. I was hoping it was something simple, like a reboot procedure.
I didn't cut the OEM connector. I desoldered the connector off the original speaker, and then soldered it to the Infinity. white/black wire to positive, all black to negative. Its not the speaker, as it plays fine when connected to my home stereo. There is no sound signal coming from the...
