  1. Printed Manual

Did you look under the rear seat? That's where mine was.
  2. Goodbye old friend.

Thanks for the replies. I love the ACC, but have never been a fan of lane keeping in previous vehicles. I haven't actually tried in the Mav, but the others are just annoying the way it fights you if you change lanes without putting on the turn signal, and they don't actually keep you in the...
  3. Goodbye old friend.

Hello new friend! I was attracted to the Maverick by the low price, but liked it so much I was willing to upgrade to get some luxury, like keyless entry for my wife and Adaptive Cruise Control for me. It was also just a neat thing to be able to say I got what I paid for the XL, after 13,000...
  4. Calling all late 2023 and 2024 Hybrid Owners...soliciting your thoughts

9500 miles since picking up my 2023 hybrid in September. Love it, not a single problem. Remember a place like this is most often used to get help with an issue , or vent about a frustration. Very rarely to we just post to say "Hi, everything is fine".
  5. Will Bronco Sport wheels and TPMS work?

I put on some Bronco Sport wheels and tires I found cheap on Marketplace, and the truck found the sensors and started using them with no intervention required.
  6. Are ramps necessary for DIY hybrid oil change?

I tried that. It helped a bit, but enough oil still spilled out upon removal that it didn't matter.
  7. Please share your experience running 265/60/18s on your Maverick

To close the loop on this, I'll share my experience. Just drove a bit over 100 miles on the freeway, plus some around down. After adjusting for the error in indicated speed and distance, I saw about a 20% increase in fuel consumption. It's impossible to do a precise controlled experiment, and...
  8. SOLD - For Sale - 4 Michelin Primacy A/S Tires (225 60R18) - $300 - Twin Cities - MN

Just what I need! Come on down to central Florida for vacation and bring them with you.
  9. Please share your experience running 265/60/18s on your Maverick

Thanks for the input. I can confirm they don't rub, and don't noticeably affect the drivability. But the whole point of getting the hybrid was fuel efficiency, so I don't want to spoil that just for looks. If it's no more than 5%, that would be OK, but I don't want to go from 40 to 35. Does...
  10. Please share your experience running 265/60/18s on your Maverick

Thanks for the reply. That's what I was doing, and added pictures successfully before. It just wouldn't do anything when I clicked the box that comes up next. When in doubt restart the system, now it works. I quite like the look. I will try to research the weight, but does anyone have actual...
  11. Please share your experience running 265/60/18s on your Maverick

My original plan was to find some 17" aluminum rims to replace my steelies, and transfer the Conti tires over. Would have been happy to go with some 17" XLT takeoffs that included tires, but wasn't able to find anything at a reasonable price. I found a good deal on some Bronco Sport 18"...
  12. I'm new here

Welcome! Post a pic of your truck!
  13. When are you doing your first Hybrid oil change?

After reading this and other threads, I split the difference and did it when the display said 50% oil life, which was at 6000 miles. Oil looked great, just a little darker than honey, with no hint of black or fuel smell. Going forward I'll start looking to change it at 80%, and make sure to...
  14. Are ramps necessary for DIY hybrid oil change?

Very cool, if they aren't too expensive. I tried crawling under my hybrid before changing the oil, and it was too low. I ended up rolling up on a couple of 2x6s, which was barely enough. This seems like the perfect height, and more professional than 2x6s.
  15. Anyone use Premium Fuel?

I'm certain this is all about the EPA mileage test. As has been stated numerous times, there is a slight increase in mpg, but not enough to justify the extra cost of premium. But for the EPA test, every tiny bit helps. So they are walking a fine line of recommending premium, so it's legal for...
  16. UAW and Ford reach tentative agreement

The reason they were so focussed on closing the gap between the starting wage and top wage is not to make it more fair to the new hires. It's so the the top tier is not constantly reminded that they could be easily replaced tomorrow by someone making half as much. I don't begrudge anyone a...
  17. Carvana Mavericks...

Employee/family, retiree, vendor discounts. A little below invoice price.
  18. Carvana Mavericks...

Without entering any debates, I'll offer my data points. My XL Hybrid was $24K A-Plan, $26K out the door. Carvana offered me $28,800 ten days ago with 3100 miles. Just now, they offered $28,700 with 3700 miles. Fourteen cents per mile is a better depreciation rate than you'll see with just...
  19. Granger Ford - Maverick markup experience

Does anyone know how or why they did this? It is my understanding that there is not anywhere near that much margin available for them to give up.
