  1. Bad hail damage, wish me luck!

Exactly. A lot of people on this site act like they're driving a show truck, or some SEMA build. Unless it affects functionality, hold onto the money. Maybe find a hood, have it resprayed. PDR is not cheap.
  2. Which one are you?

Burned out a fuel pump in my previous vehicle by waiting until the gas light came on. Ever since then I will get gas pretty close to 1/4 tank left. No benefit to wait until the light comes on, IMO.
  3. Selecting a Transport Company, don't make same mistake as I did!

I called a local classic car dealership, and asked them who they trust with their transports, and I have a buddy who used a transport recently, and asked him. I used one of their recommendations, and everything worked out fine. No spam, no burner accounts, no burner Google Voice phone numbers...
  4. Here's my custom Maverick ST version (from 2022 MavericK XLT EcoBoost) since Ford doesn't make one yet

Can you share those wheels? I saw a 5.0 Mustang with some cool Ford Performance wheels last night, and the bolt pattern doesn't match up, and apparently FP doesn't have Maverick pattern wheels yet? Thanks.
  5. Crunched/Bent Frame - Advice

Yes. The title came back clean from seller's state, and my truck is registered and insured in my state, so all good there. Within the next few weeks, I will get over to the body shop to see what they can do about my rear bumper clips. I also plan to get a wheel alignment, to ensure the tires...
  6. Crunched/Bent Frame - Advice

Thank you. My thoughts exactly. I'm not planning on towing near max capacity, trying to flip to make a few bucks, etc. Just planning on replacing my current beater.
  7. Crunched/Bent Frame - Advice

Currently waiting for the title to be sent from seller's state, to me. Once I have the title, I will attempt to title in my state. As far as I know, total loss =/= salvaged. A lot of times a total loss is salvaged/branded, but not 100% of the time. This vehicle seems to have been a total loss by...
  8. Crunched/Bent Frame - Advice

Thanks. This sounds like a plan I could follow. I appreciate the advice.
  9. Crunched/Bent Frame - Advice

I'm not clear on what happened with the previous owner, the accident, or their insurance. I got this vehicle from Copart, so it only told me there was an accident. I was able to see the frame damage once the vehicle was delivered. The vehicle title is clean, and is not totaled. I just called...
  10. Crunched/Bent Frame - Advice

Thank you. I think along the same lines. Even with the frame issues I've shown, I believe it's still safer than my current daily driver (19 year old, rust bucket).
  11. Crunched/Bent Frame - Advice

I've driven it for ~2 miles so far. Not enough time in the seat to tell if it drives different. Still waiting on title to get it registered. Thanks for the advice.
  12. Crunched/Bent Frame - Advice

Got it. Just wondering if this is worth straightening, or leaving it. The truck has a clean title, so insurance shouldn't be an issue. I haven't insured it yet, since I'm still waiting on the title from the state. I will call today to confirm being able to insure it. Thanks.
  13. Crunched/Bent Frame - Advice

Bought a used 2024 Maverick Hybrid, knowing it was in an accident. From the looks of it, the truck was rear-ended on the passenger side. The accident looks to have dented the tailgate, took a bit of paint off the tailgate, crunched my frame (behind the rear wheels, underneath the truck bed)...
