I'm not even going to worry about what other people think the Maverick is not. I'm happy with what it can do and it's the cheapest new truck you can find on the market currently.
I put 20k down and finance the rest. Interest rate is bit high on a 5yr loan but my monthly payment is below $300 a month. I can payoff early as needed. Insurance and registration on the other hand is ridiculous.
I'd suggests to remove the tonneau, splashguard, and floor liners. These items might constrain your build time and you can get them aftermarket for a better price.
And if you don't want to deal with splicing your own power connector. You can get the newer model that is battery powered so all you have to do is a straight mirror swap. Downside is the cost.
Hopefully by year 5 or when the truck sale slows down, Ford will focus more on quality. Although historically, Ford is not known for quality. In saying that, I haven't had issue with my MY24 ecoboost Maverick and it's the best vehicle I've owned so far. Even more than my previous 2007 Nissan 350Z.
Not sure about the year, but here are the parts # that includes everything you will need to install. You can get them from Tasca parts or any other Ford parts dealers.
