I would not worry about short trips, several times a day. I drive less then 4K a year with my hybrid Maverick which spends most of the time in sleep mode, but always starts with the original flood battery. The only thing I noticed is when I open the door, the interior lights don't go on until...
Why would it bother you that it weighs more? The fact is that it will get much more MPG then a hybrid does, (check what plug ins are getting) 100 mpg is common with local driving. Worth carrying the extra pounds to me. I may never stop at a gas station again!
Try to find a Lariat with the Lux package. It will cost you a few grand more, but in the long run it has all the safety features, and things like trailer hitch, sprayed in bed liner, in bed features etc. Check out the differences by reading the Ford brochures, I think a 2025, or 2026 is the way...
Again, I'm in the "Early Mav owners club, "delivered 3/9/22" and now a member of the "Low mileage club, "today is 5/7/26, I'm in my 5th year of ownership, and I have 12,360.1 miles, that's 3K per year!
I'm in Sarasota area, less them 4 miles away is the Pine Craft community we have all the Armish shops, and restaurants, but be careful to watchout for all the people on bicyles!
Let's face it, not everyone has the same resources like solar panels, free charging at school etc. Some people have it better then you. COMPANY CARS! don't pay for the car, insurance, or gas. Everyone tries to get what best for them in there situation.
Agreed, but he is the first to realize that in order to compete in the car industry, newer factories with robots (cheap or free labor) will be the furture. Still need people like designers, but A I will take those jobs over time.
I'm sure most of us on this forum are original owners of our Mavericks. I'm into my 5th year of ownership being an early buyer. I too have a truck that has all the original things the truck came with (tires, axles, even the flood battery) being a early truck (delivered 3/09/22) many recalls...
Electric motors. Remember this Maverick is a hybrid. The gas motor only runs when needed, so all the items you mention, have seperate motors. The A/C is the greatest thing when stuck in traffic on the hot days in Florida.
I also have a 2022 early hybrid Lariat with the lux package, and co pilot 360 (which you had to order with the lux package) should of been called 180, only does the rear of truck, it seems many features were dropped in some of the later models, that were standard earlier. (hybrid motor, door...
Owning a vehicle for almost a year, and selling it for less then a thousand dollar loss is only done on high end limited production special ordered super cars, never on every day cars. Another plus for the Maverick!
For the price, again there is nothing else out there. There are larger trucks, but the price goes up when the size goes up. True, the next size trucks have choices (Ranger, Canyon, Colorado, Frontier) then also if you want a convertible, the Mustang is still the lowest cost one around. Thank...
You will never be able to stop all the rattles, because you will find more since you will be looking for them. Maybe trade in or sell you Maverick for a Toyota with better sound proofing.
