I know you meant 7 years, not months! but I think the 10 year plan lets you be covered, and when you sell ,or trade in, after 7, or 8 years, you can transfer the remaining years to the next owner, who will pay more for that truck. If you trade in, you can receive a refund when you cancel the...
Don't even bother with going to them for an ESP, Get one from Granger Ford. No dealer sells one for less. Remember, all warranties, start on the day the truck was first registered, so the first 3 years were covered by Ford. A 10 year policy gets you covered for the next 7 years.
I'm sure you'll love your Maverick. As you read all the posts on this forum, by the time you bought your Maverick, Ford has taken care of problems early trucks found happening, so thanks to forums like this, new Mavericks are almost trouble free. And since your daughter is a "techie" you are...
I can't see how people try to compare shopping for insurance, and shopping for a vehicle. When shopping for a vehicle, you have a basic price to go from dealer, to dealer, and see who wants to give you the best deal. Insurance depends on lots of factors, how many drivers use the vehicle...
The reason you found a vehicle that fit your needs, is because of forums like this. All of us early buyers of the then new truck from Ford, started to post all the features this truck needed to be the "Greatest Small Truck Ever"! you waited until all the boxes were checked off before ordering...
I would not play around with the HV battery unless I knew what I was doing. Disconnecting the 12V battery in a hybrid truck, is more of a problem because it's under the rear seat.
I keep all my paperwork home in a folder. You never know when you may need it to show what was on the truck when ordered. Also passing on paperwork to the next owner, shows that you were a person who cared about maintainence.
Carvana always pays more then the others because they know what sells. Carvana makes their money on financing, so they pay more to get vehicles that buyers want, and sell them with little profit.
After thinking about installing a blower (supercharger) on a Maverick hybrid, I was wondering how would you drive the blower, since a hybrid doesn't have a pully system, or a serpentine belt.
Sorry to say, I agree with your friends. You cannot compare reliability between Ford, and Toyota. What will Toyota give you for the Rav4 if you trade it in on a Toyota truck? You will pay more, but in the long run, it will be worth more for years, when the Maverick has lost it's value. 10...
Your son is 100% right! A fully loaded Lariat, with all the safety features is exactly what us old geezers need. We want a truck that is small enough to park, and drive, has good visibility, and does most of the driving! I'm 85, and the ACC cruise control is the greatest thing on the...
I would be careful about changing anything like that before the 3 yr, 36K warranty is up. If a problem occurs on anything, you voided your warranty by doing that. Not worth it to me.
