    yes, finally some ‘goodish’ news on the hybrid availability. Just wished it was a Nov. 8 date but at least some light at end of the tunnel.

    Sure Ford did a good amount of consumer focus group on both models (2.5 and 2.0) way early on. Even if they researched a much smaller buyer interest in a hybrid, they would still want a smaller pool of buyers to take delivery ASAP since 95% are at MSRP or higher.

    All this info and charts are above my pay grade to understand, but the hybrid engine is so close to the Ford Escape and Bronco Sport engines it boggles my mind that Ford and the EPA aren’t on the same page with an efficient EPA approval.

    you could look at the date of Dec. 22 as only two days late because ‘fall’ season ends Dec. 19, and winter season starts Dec. 20.

    Lea, you won’t have any sliding/slipping with the fwd hybrid….if you do these …..mount 4 new snow tires (I prefer Scandinavian brands such as Vredestein or Gislaved Frost or Nordfrost models). You’re right AWD is really only good at starting the inertia of moving car forward at a dead stop...

    yeah, if he was pushing it a bit or a lot on the highway, it’s very good 34.5 mpg, since Ford estimated it would be rated 33 mpg hwy.

    Extra credit bed measurement question…..anyone know the diagonal bed measurement ? (Front left bed corner to right rear tailgate down corner).. Hoping I might squeeze my Suzuki vstrom front wheel into bed corner with rear wheel still sitting on the edge of the tailgate.
