It is on Eibach springs. I have only scraped once and it was in a steep incline and even then just barely. Didn’t damage the splitter , but I went really slow.
I replaced mine with an AC Delco LN1AGM battery, which is the same size as the factory battery, but more power and AGM. So far it has been great! Battery state of charge hovers between 82-87%. I am not the first to use this battery. It’s a little pricey, but AGM should cure the discharge...
This is nice! For anyone not wanting to track down a euro steering wheel, you can also use one out of a 23-24 ST Line Escape with the Sport 2 steering wheel option. It’s available in both heated and non heated variant. Will still likely have to transfer harness and switches on it as well...
It’s like dealing with an accident with a state vehicle, it’ll be tied up in red tape and paperwork for a while. Best to just file it on your own, get repaired, and then go after the usps for the deductible. That’ll be the quickest way to a resolution. This could get tied up for months...
Trailer hitch? Sort of looks reminiscent of such. The lamp may be cracked judging by the location of the hit. Fender gap at hood looks off some and I can see the bumper cover is flexed out near the fender mount area. Looks like an easy $3-5k fix. Gravy job.
It’s been a little while since I’ve updated. I’ve done a few things. I think I’m nearing the end of my build. Biggest addition was the new Katzkin interior. It just really sets the truck off. Other subtle additions like a hood decal, front lip, etc were also added. Taking it to a car meet...
I’m more amazed that they put wheel locks on that thing. Should’ve bought an XLT so trivial things such as this doesn’t show. Also, take the locks off. Nobody is going to steal the steel wheels that ford seems obsessed with installing on these. Congrats on your truck, btw!
I ordered one for my Maverick today through my employer. Can’t wait to get it on. I have all the other pieces through Ford Accessories to match.

My local OReilly had a Maverick hit exactly like that about two months ago. They did not total it and it was repaired. It took two months in the body shop though so prepare for that.

The switch is a 3 wire analog rocker switch. The factory switch isn’t a switch at all, but a digital module that sends a request to the BCM for power. You may could get these to work with a factory switch from an f150, but it’ll have to be controlled by the BCM. So there will be more wiring...
I purchased a kit for my Mav. What’s 1.5 months when I waited a year for the truck? This will be the 4th or 5th time the bumper will have been off of my truck. I’m getting quick at it now. lol
Im being honest, Oh FFS dude then don’t complain about a crap windshield in a #3 quality truck. Didn’t you know quality is not job 1 at Ford anymore? FFS, they took it (quality is job 1) right off the wall at the assembly plant. That’s such BS!
If you don’t follow closely this damage does not happen. That is from road debris/sand pelting the front of your vehicle. Happens to every car, but much less if you leave room in traffic. You’ll have to pony up for a replacement. That’s wear/use.
If it were me, I’d tape that area off really well/mask it and go buy a can of aerosol bed liner. Scuff that vertical area and then spray it up to where it rolls horizontal in the black bed liner. I realize you have a drop in liner, but that would a: fix the scratch and b: make that area more...
Yesterday there was a dealer bulletin in place. I didn’t check today. Usually when a dealer bulletin is in place then there is a viable repair available. I’ll check tomorrow to confirm.
Excuse the dirty truck. This is the only picture I have right now. I purchased real BAP xlt headlamps new at work and installed them tonight. These were the last bit this truck needed to look “right” imo. They were rather salty, but I’ve spent more for less. These are level 3 lighting...
