I have the Demco Stay in Play system along with the wireless Coach Link wireless brake monitor.
It supposed to tap into the brake light switch but I just stuffed the transmitter in behind the 3rd brake light and connected it to the wires in there. Works great.
If your looking for a brake...
It doesn't matter which post you remove first, electrons don't flow thru an incomplete circuit. The Maverick battery sits in a plastic box , so there isn't much for the wrench to contact and spark against.
Touch pos to neg, or neg to pos and sparks will fly.
I unplug my light cord and breakaway pin before I switch out of Neutral Tow.
I'm using the Road Master diode light kit but a Demco Stay in Play brake. Just one power wire to the red covered post.
Not sure how that can effect the Neutral Tow switching.
Agree that its not to be used all of the time. The truck can be driven while displaying Neutral Tow but it disables it and you can't tow it again until you reset it with battery disconnect.
Funny thing is my radio didn't loose its presets, even after 20 minutes.
Battery cable removal for 15 minutes worked. Tried Neutrel Tow once and it worked. I'll know more when I start towing it for 6 months.
Amazon has a remote controlled disconnect for $30.
I also open a case with Ford to see if they have a fix.
It just happened to me, can drive but dash says Tow Mode. Called Ford dealer and he read me the instructions from the manual.
I'm going out to disconnect the battery for 15 minutes and hope for a fix.
