    Just checked mine. Going park, drive, park, drive I just hear the electric motor come on. No movement at all.

    Maybe yours is defective. There are no settings to enable the plug to stay active. Again, nobody said everyone’s stays active.

    My 23 hybrid the cigarette lighter plug stays on for 90 minutes key off and out door open and closed. Just confirmed this. So don’t just make blatant comments that it does not.

    12 volt socket stays on for 90 minutes after turning off. At least my hybrid does.

    I use these. Just clamp under when you shut the hood. Search Amazon for kayak hood straps. Towed the Maverick 2000 miles with zero issues.

    I mentioned this in another post, and got, you need to read the manual. Well I just think it’s a poor design. First automobile I’ve owned with this issue.

    Thanks for the info. Guess I need to disconnect mine and go straight to the battery which is the same. Maybe get the dealer to write up something for RVi and get them to reimburse you for the battery cost. You may need to send in the charger and let rvi check it out.
