i don’t care what my truck identifies as, I just want it here. Thankfully my current vehicle works fine, can’t imagine the stress of counting on it being here in a given week/month/year/decade.
Well it WAS the 80's. American workers were fat and happy on union contracts and just starting to realize that the Japanese were running circles around them.
As long as it takes for mine to be built. You 2023 people can pound sand! /s
But really, as long as it takes for mine to roll off the line. (11/7 build week...currently...)
Thanks for asking the question, OP!
Anyone experimenting with different sizes of wheels/tires? I'm planning on getting some cheap steelies for my XLT to mount the winter tires.
RIGHT?! Like, I get that the expectation is that cars with VINs are getting built. But Ford has screwed up just about every other part of this process, and I don't trust them to get this part right.
there’s plenty of evidence on this forum that even if you have a VIN, you can get pushed back. And with a hard stop coming up, it’s feasible you get pushed over the edge.
NGL, i'm conflicted about being scheduled to build at the end of this month. Who knows if Ford will stick to that build date! My nightmare fuel right now is that because I have a build week, I can't put in an order for a MY23. But if that build gets pushed back, I may be stuck on the wrong side...
sliding around, having yet another thing to charge, and lack of power to get through phone cases all make the battery option tough. This built in method just seems like it would work so much better. Most of the time I doubt I’ll even bother with CarPlay and set the phone in the tray.
Love it! I almost pulled the trigger for the pad on my XLT, but I’m glad I didn’t now. This seems like it could be more capable, at a cheaper price, than the Ford option.
