With the Maverick's production issues, it certainly pushes would-be buyers to different models. But I'd wager more are holding out for the Maverick than are going elsewhere.
On my friends' preferences, yes they didn't want a full-size pickup and cross-shopped all of those models. But the point...
If I do set any goals/resolutions, they are monthly. The past few years have been a mix of monthly goals and "focus words". The focus word can be whatever, it's like the "theme" for the year. Resilience, patience, laugh, move, play, build, whatever tickles your fancy.
Rollover October 2021 XLT hybrid order here! In November, I dropped some standalone options and went with the lux package based on Bartz's videos and the constraint lists posted here. Seems to have worked and I was scheduled for the first week in January.
Today my window sticker populated on...

And? Absolutely worth it. Locked watertight storage that can be re-arranged and used in hundreds of different ways. Who needs underseat storage that useless for anyone with kids when you have 11 cubic feet of trunk storage in the middle of you car? AND you get to keep the bed for everything else.
I would die if the Mav grew about 8 inches and could fit a gear tunnel in the unibody construction. Easily worth $10000.
NO idea if the engineering works on that. Rivian's skateboard chassis is what makes the tunnel work.
All registration cost should be based on weight anyway. How much a vehicle weighs makes a big difference in road degradation. EVs weigh more than their ICE cousins, problem solved.
Roads need to be smaller anyway, states were drunk on gas tax money and need to rethink transportation systems...
Are you kidding me? I just got bumped to January 9th and I have a MY2022 VIN. Are you hybrid or eco?
EDIT: I mean, great for you, don't want to diminish your success here. But Ford's out here scheduling new 23 orders a month+ before the 22's are built.
Per the Ford Customer Service line, I just got moved to January 9, 2023.
The poor lady was trying to do whatever she could to keep me happy and told me I could have a "Ford Certificate" for any ford vehicle (not entirely true, but ok). She then gave me the number to my Farm Bureau discount...
It never ceases to amaze me how my dealer will tell me one thing, which is then completely upended by Tim. And Tim's the one proven right time and again.
My dealer is STILL telling me i'll be getting a MY22 in December. 🤦♂️
Retired - I was being snarky. :) The point is that everything is speculation and even when Ford puts something in writing it's about as solid as quicksand.
