Here is my other 2 boats and trailer. This aluminum Yakima kayak trailer and the 2 kayaks themselves weigh at about 350 pounds. Of course, no problem with weight and I get great gas mileage while towing these bad boys :) The paddles and other equipment is in the bed.
I tow my 17 ft boat that weighs 1650 lbs empty with my XLT hybrid to our local lake which is less than 10 miles from home. Fully loaded with equipment, supplies and gas it probably slightly over the 2k maximum. The truck pulls without issue.
I noticed today while getting something out of the back seat that the front seat appears to have a zipper that goes from top to bottom of seat. Check it out on your own truck. Do you think the seat has potential to remove the seat cover clean and return?

What is the usefulness of the back portion of the door cubby? I understand we can use the front cutouts for bottles and other related items, but the rear pocket inside the door cubby is difficult to access. Any thoughts or ideas what to use this for?
