What?!
So you have never driven an 80's, 90's, or early 2000's turbo charged car?
The turbo on the 2.0 EB is incredibly tiny at, I think, 40mm. It is fully spooled by 1800 RPM and you are around 90% at ~1450 RPM. There is basically no turbo lag on the EB Maverick.
It is worthwhile to look at Ford's extended warranty that you can buy from Granger for a little over their cost. On my '22 it was very inexpensive compared to what an extended typically costs.
The only thing I can say about an XLT trim with the standard audio, is that it technically has...
It no longer tracks in real-time and displays that on a map. It will show you where it was last started/shut-off, but it does not update while the vehicle is in motion. That was stripped in 5.0 with Ford stating it was because they no longer have the ability to provide it.
100% knew this was a post about getting rear-ended just by the title. It seems to be the curse of these trucks.
Don't let the insurance short change you on the value of the Maverick. It is one of the highest value retaining vehicles on the market. There is a person on here asking about a dealer...
Brand fanboys, especially those that stick around a community just to bash it, are always strange to me. Every manufacturer has, or has had, a product you avoid like the plague.
They aren't on some crazy backorder, I don't know why dealers are pushing this so hard. While they might not be able to get them overnight, they are getting them pretty quick. Ford also redesigned the axles and the ones in the channels are the redesigned ones, so that is a plus!
It used to provide real time GPS location of the truck as well as warranty status. Those two features were stripped.
Yes, a cellular network.
There isn't anything that technically would prevent them from updating over cellular. Requiring a WiFi connection to update is a design decision made...
It sounds like you have two issues.
There is a dampener between the ICE and EV system that smooths out vibrations and makes the ICE-EV transition smoother. If it isn't behaving properly it will manifest as lurching at rest and other harshness. This is sometimes "normal" and Ford has been...
I have seen a couple of theses on trucks, not just Mavericks, and they do not fit properly. At all. Not even a little. They can make them look like they fit just fine in a photo. Actual execution on it is way off.
You have zero support or return policy on it if you have issues. Missing a part...
I paid less than that for my XLT hybrid new in '22. Currently at 66K miles on it.
Edit:
5,000 mile oil changes. Religious maintenance. Every time it is touched, for any reason, the records are kept.
Never noticed.
I'm too busy yelling at the truckers who decided to break the law by getting over into the far left lane, on our steep hill climbs, at 43 MPH, just to try and pass another truck that is doing 42 MPH.
My wife's car has push-to-start and it just makes me uneasy, for some reason. We have had keys and tumbler ignitions down for awhile now, why try to fix what isn't even remotely broken?
It will be covered by any remaining warranty, it does not start a warranty counter over. So if you had the block replaced at 90,000 miles, you have 10,000 miles of warranty. This is the same for any warranty repair. Did your CV axels go out and get replaced at 59,000? You now have 1,000 miles of...
Many years ago I had this same thing happen in traffic. Applied the brakes and the pedal just flopped to the floor and I hit the car in front of me. The car was maybe a year old and well serviced. It and the car I hit were totaled - not a single injury for either of us.
