One thing I have noticed is that the controls will not use outside air for temperature management.
On a cooler day (example outside air temp is 65 degrees) and the vehicle has sat in the sun during working hours, I get in and start for home and notice the air conditioning is required to reduce...
The only "grief" I ever got so far was from a couple guys in a jacked up Chevy at a red light. I had the windows down and the driver of the Chevy made a comment about "what a cute little vehicle I have".
I just looked over and made a comment about not needing to compensate for other issues...
My issue is that the camera and latch locks are not waterproof, but water resistant. When I washed my truck bed out and closed the tailgate, I seriously watched what looked like gallons of muddy water pour out. That means all connectors, housings, ect in the tailgate were soaking for several...
Looks great !
but am I the only person who looks into the engine bay and thinks Coyote with a tubbed rear?
My dad and I fit a standard 5.0 into a 1974 Mazda RX4 once so... without a yardstick in hand it looks like the Coyote would fit.
At least I know why my wife doesn't want me to have a...
I rented a commuter van for a company trip a few months ago and had to disable the ACC.
Using that, you are guaranteed to end up behind the slowest vehicle on your route... at a safe distance, but at a much slower speed than you wanted.
Very encouraging.
My A.S.S. likes to shut the engine down for 0.5 seconds every time I stop at a stop sign (most of the traffic control I experience daily).
I had no real plans to actually tow anything but a small utility trailer, but the Maverick we found had the 4K tow and FX4 packages... so...
I'm prepared to tow anything I might need to!
Until you own one and constantly wonder "What on earth can I use that space for?", you won't understand.
It's a Maverick thing only Maverick owners can understand.
Hopefully it's over and done.
We had a 2016 Buick Encore That would randomly pop up a red dash warning that the Engine power was in reduced mode, the stabilitrack was inoperable, and the ABS was disabled.
Then it would go away for a couple weeks. Dealer found no codes stored and we were told we...
Mud/Rut mode -
I went to a local fair last year after several days of rain. As we entered the parking area, traffic was being "sorted" due to the mud. Any 2 wheel drive vehicle was sent around the mud and any 4WD was sent through the bog that had formed in a low lying area of the lot. Many...
I distinctly remember my dad telling me to imagine a grape between my foot and the gas pedal. "Squeeze the grape, don't squish it" were his instructions and I find no need for "ECO" or "Sport" modes with my Ecoboost/4K/FX4 Maverick.
As far as using slippery mode as default, NOPE. Use it...
@MankDeems :
You quote " There is NOT ENOUGH SPACE TO KNOCK THE STUDS OUT THE BACK EVEN IF YOU BROKE JUST STUD 1 YOU HAVE TO PRESS THE HUB AND BEARING OUT MOST LIKELY DESTROYING JUST TO RELOAD STUDS! "
Dunno dude. Looks like there's room behind the marked stud below for the stud to be pressed...
I was thinking a piece of heavy mylar but the same effect. Plugging those vent holes doesn't seem like a preferred choice. Deflecting dirt and moisture would be better in my mind.
