I live in the North East (UPSTATE New York) and haven't scraped ice off the windshield for many years. I keep the windshield treated with Rain-X. On cold frosty nights I fill a 2 quart bottle with water and leave it just inside the door overnight. In the morning that water poured on the...
My '22 FX4/4K/2.0Eco is 40K+ miles and has sipped on the 87 all along. The only time I wish I had gotten better fuel is when I moved my son. My typical 33-35MPG tanked at close to 15 with the rental trailer.
Other than that, 87 has been a non-issue.
I'm OK with a free Sync upgrade.... just sayin'
I've had my camera freeze, but I've also had the entire infotainment system freeze just without the camera active. I think that if not for the fact that it can happen while in reverse, Ford would not be looking into it.
Rebooting the system with...
I saw that and think I'll pass.
I would rather have behind-the-seat storage and plan to install my own inverter for the bed. Behind the seat is a no brainer since mine has mounts there already.
On that... My previous ride was a 2012 Escape and it sat much higher than my '22 ECO/4K/FX4.
The Maverick seems to have much less road noise than my Escape did. What I noticed in the Mav is that my Tinnitus doesn't get triggered like most of the vehicles I've owned. Typically an hour long ride...
Coyote engine for starters... and an extended housing for the antenna that has a camera that looks into the bed and behind the vehicle so smaller towed trailers don't disappear when you try to back them up.
Found out the hard way that an insurance claim on the vehicle will greatly effect the trade-in value. Had an Escape with a minor parking lot claim. K!lled the trade in.
So we got rear-ended tonight. Just enough impact to make an imprint in the bumper plastic of the vehicles license plate screw head. No other damage. Bumper is straight, no scratches, ect...
So...
Has anyone tried to use heat to restore the plastic? I do know some plastics have a memory of sorts...
The other day my wife and I had some errands to run and took her Bronco Sport. My phone battery was down, so I plugged it in. Android Auto came up as expected and I noticed there was a Ford icon available that takes you to normal radio mode that isn't on the Maverick. I've updated my phone...
I've often wondered if they have ducks because it rhymes with what they say when they either break down again or someone comes up with a new mod for their vehicles.
If you have push button start, the truck is picking up the FOB and readying the vehicle for use. My wife's Bronco Sport did that until I moved my key farther away from the door where my key hook is.
What Zed said, and wired to a stand-alone monitor in the visor (I don't need the mirror).
Does anyone know what electronics are in the current sharkfin? I would imagine some cellphone type stuff for the hotspot. If true, the camera could be wireless and that would make it all that much easier.
