If you bought your truck from Ford directly, you can use the Ford Points from the truck purchase to get the oem soft cover for around $150. It’s fine. Not great, but fine.
That 3-4 billion is taking infrastructure costs and applying them as a loss per vehicle. They are real losses, but I don’t like applying them like that as they are infrastructure investments, and applying them to the revenue of a vehicle is silly.
Per EV only, Ford makes a profit.
Some poeple view the Maverick as nothing but a cheap Ford truck, something you get if you cant get a larger one.
Others view it as the perfect sized vehicle, and would happy to spend $50k+ on it if it offered enough for that kind of money.
I fall in the latter camp, but I know many are the former.
Mine was ordered 8/01. Had a scheduled date of 1/06. Went into production on 12/19. Still in production as of today. Modules popped around a week ago.

I care about ice and rain only personally, do not plan to be hitting large trenches.
The first 3 tests made me feel pretty good about it for those situations.
So with a August 1st order that has yet to be scheduled, does this mean if I get nothing this week that means it will be at least February until my truck is built?
