Currently out of town for another week, will have to check and see what I kept from the original install... If anyone finds better alternates ( even than OEM ) please share !
What I meant is to caulk the seams so water does not get in between the the truck and bedliner. But now looking at some pics it is clear that this idea will probably not work, plus one would probably have to caulk it at least once a year...
And like you said, if water does get it, then its worse
