Received this email Thursday. Order for lariat, Hybrid, Lux, 360, confirmed 10/23. Other than order confirmation this is the first contact from Ford. A whole lot of nothing. AN IMPORTANT UPDATE ABOUT YOUR ORDER JD, Thanks again for placing your 2022 Maverick LARIAT order. While we’ve...

Ford does not require a deposit? I was not aware. The crummy dealer in Spartanburg requires a $500 deposit.
  5. Ford Customer Service Is Awful

Don't cancel the order. Take delivery and sell it for a couple of thousand more than you paid. The dealer may not cancel your order then turn around and sell it for $5k more. Accept delivery and you can make the extra dough.
  6. Ford Customer service who you talk to !!!

  9. Good news for those whose order gets pushed to 2023 model year

Assuming the over sticker pricing holds, take the truck and immediately flip it. If you refuse delivery the dealer will jump for joy and sell it for sticker + 5k. Better for you to make the money than the dealer. Or inform the dealer you'll refuse the truck if you pay me.
  10. Good news, bad news. The salesman told me it was damaged and then sold it to someone else!

A wild guess is the dealer sold your truck for a premium of $5.000 (or more) and screwed you. Dealers will be dealers. If you are as pissed of as I would be dig into this further.
