After coming to the same two choices, I went with the Defender 2; Longer tread life and thicker tread. From the Tire Rack ratings, the Defender 2 had similar ratings drawn from far more miles reported. The Defender 2 have proven to be very quiet.

Just said this to wife several days ago. At 78 yrs. old, the Maverick is fun to drive with all the latest conveniences. (2025 Tremor, 2.0 AWD). The truck is fun to drive and surprisingly smooth. After the first 1,000 mi it's getting over 25 mpg.
