If you order from Crutchfield like most do as well as myself. They include the speaker mounting adapters needed for the front doors as well as the Metra wire harnesses that install on the speaker to the factory speaker connector, so you don't have to cut or splice any wires.
Makes it simple...
I can verify you have great taste in amps.
That Rockford is the same shallow mount sub that came in the setup I bought for my F-150, within a week I replaced it with the kicker Comp RT, no regrets at all. I still use it and the alpine class D amp 8 years later in my Maverick.
Edit:my...
Well I don't rely on it heavily I do like to have it when parallel parking or backing into my garage.
I just haven't rushed to do it just to see what others post if it's an actual fix or a Band-Aid. As I've had it freeze one time and I've got the message that it was unavailable twice even...
I just have the stock XLT head unit on my 24, so no fancy sync for me like the lariats and I can and change the station from the display screen with my phone connected over Bluetooth only or connected it to the USBC using Android Auto.
I don't have the best ears either being a 46-year-old Union...
That's all I had to do in the F-150 as there was enough room to leave the knob in the metal case behind that panel. With the Maverick there was less room behind that headlight switch so I had to remove the PC board from the metal case. The cases obviously just there for protection when...
It was simple it was like two screws and I used a small pair of pliers to pry off the one piece of the metal housing and the PC board switch came out with a knob off. Then you measure the location drill the proper hole a 16th of an inch larger than the metal shaft, slide the shaft through the...
I can post a photo of what it looks like behind the switch if you need to see. I just removed the switch with a plastic trim panel pry tool, very easy and didn't more anything.
I just found it to be the best location and the least expensive part to replace down the road if you wanted to. I...
I just stream Sirius/XM via Bluetooth from my S22 Ultra sounds great can't even tell the difference when I plug my phone in with the USBC cable via Android Auto. Still sounds better than all of my Fords that have had XM tuners from the factory.
Something about Ford's tuners just sound...
Thank you, Yes it is The Alpine knob. The thick plastic knob was easy to remove just simply pulling it off the control housing. Then I removed the internal PCB board with the adjustment dial from the thin metal housing case.
I had to remove it from its housing in order to fit it in that...
One thing I miss from my F-150 is the anti-glare outside rear view mirrors. My explorer has them but I don't drive it often it's more of a weekend warrior.
I had that almost identical cover at least style anyway on my two f-150s both were ex-stang soft fold trifectas. The clamps near the cab tighten down with clamps like the Gator, and near the bed of the truck they're just spring release handles that fit over the plastic bed caps as well as...
It's up to you what brand speakers you go with, but anything is an improvement over any of the stock speakers included whether you have an XL, XLT, or a lariat.
I would recommend replacing all the speakers front doors dash tweeters and the rear pillar speakers. If it's in your budget...
