I changed the trans, RDU and PTU at 28K. Both the RDU and PTU fluids were low and quite dark. The trans fluid did not look too bad. I used AmsOil in the trans and PTU, Motorcraft RDU fluid in the RDU. I will continue to do 30K changes.
I have the 2 can UPR kit and they work very well. I check them every 1-2 k miles and they are usually 2/3 full in this colder weather. All that crap did not end up on the back of the valves as deposits which is a good thing
I just got mine , waiting for the chance to get a warm up and wash out the fender before installing. Was thinking of doing a Lanolin based undercoating at the same time.
23 Lariat in Alto blue with the factory film. I live in Michigan and it has never seen the inside of a garage. It is still clear and I don’t even see it unless I am looking for it. As MetalThunder noted, there are a few small nicks just outside of the covered areas.
I have 245/65-17 BF Goodrich KO2s and it is a very minor difference. According to Waze at an 45mph indicated, I'm doing 46mph and at 80mph indicated, I'm actually doing 83mph.
I have BF Goodrich KO2s and run 42-45psi. Haven’t had any TPMS warnings but they seem to read fairly accurately. I can see the pressure rising as the tires warm up on a longer drive in what seems like real time. I always keep a Milwaukee M18 inflater in my truck just in case.
I live in the snow belt and drive on dirt roads a lot. I replaced my Pirelli Scorpions with B F Goodrich KO2s also went up a size to 245/65-17. They lower the speedo about 3%. Waze says 85mph at an indicated 82MPH so minimal effect at lower speeds.
My experience with the Ford Tri-fold is it weeps at the car wash and in hard rain. I have tried adjusting it and tightening it but there is still some leaks along the edges and tailgate. Also, just behind the cab there is a seam on both sides that leaks that I have been meaning to try and seal...
On a side note, I was looking at my exhaust system and saw this vent near the tailpipe. Any ideas on what it is for? never seen anything like it in 50 years of working on vehicles!
It's probably more brown than orange, the picture makes it look orangish and to add confusion I was mis-calling it orange too. It's definitely not as orange as that picture of the can makes it appear. but it's certainly a much lighter brown and diluted compared to what the 'dirty' side gets. If...
I check my UPR cans every few thousand miles and clean them but I don’t have the Orange color that you have. I’ve had them on about 10k and I am at 26k now and have always used AmsOil signature 5W-30 and the fluid in the can is brownish. I also have the fuel smell but it wouldn’t light with a...
