Gotta say my maverick is a treat to drive but still too new to have too much fun in. I loved bagging around in my aveo hatchback.
1989 4dr cavalier
1988 caprice classic
1997 honda civic
2006 chev aveo (1st new car)
2011 silverado ( lost in separation)
2009 sierra (t case failure and rustbucket...
I have an ecoboost. Needed AWD (northern canada, and work Fly in/fly out) to deal with the snow, and eventual trail bagging.
Fuel economy isnt bad at all. Better than a 2014 chev sonic i had... and less than half of what my sierra would burn. With generous winter warm ups in -30C temps i was...
I have an awd, but rockin the stock continentals this winter. Probably will get winter tires next fall, but new all seasons arent that bad... only 10k on tires.
Wish i could have some fun doing doughnuts tho.
Hey... not a total saviour... but found out that you can manually move wiper arms halfway up the windshield to lift the wipers off the windshield making it easier to clear ice from the wipers and clean the well at the butt ends of the wiper arms.
Also should make it good for wiper...
There are 4 trucks that look like mine in my town of 7500 people... although all of em opted for the nicer rims. Apparently my order left on the lot for 3 weeks sparked more orders.
A couple of oddball colored one as well...
Mavericks are the rez beaters of the future.
I agree op. Mine is almost that good im considering keeping the stock tires on for the first winter.
Although it seeme like my mpg took a hit, but its also using the AWD all the time, and doing some engine warming.
Biggest test my truck has to pass is going to be leaving an airport after 2...
I went ecoboost because of AWD and i live in northern canada so heat from a constantly running engine is super necessary. I dont know of anyone that has a hybrid where i live that doesnt park it 6 months out of a year
My old squarebody chevy 4×4 5.0L had a whopping 170hp new . Couldnt even spin the tires in mud in 4 high ffs.
My seirra 5.3 faired a little better but after fuel management delete it was an absolute pig on gas. Costed 10 canadian pesos to think about using it. Also blew a cv axel and ball joint...
Shouldnt the eco boost take 0w-20?
I got my first and only oil change (59xx ish km) at the retailer i bought mine from. 120 canadian pesos.
Reason for the quick change is that the Oil was about 6 months old. Basically all short trips, barely reaching operating temp ( i live 30km from where...
I used to own chevys they all govern at 155-160 km/h (100mph) my maverick is faster... wont confirm nor deny how i found that out. Need plausible deniability. They impound at those speeds where i live.
I have an xl, only options i got were ecoboost/awd and the spray in bed liner.
Probably gonna regret not getting the 4k tow package someday, but hoping its post warranty and just blast the interior heat to manage coolant temperature.
Would any of these help with salt? I live in a place that uses a sand/ salt mixture for traction in winter which will be from late october to mid may.
I was pondering rust check or "groil" but that eventually will wash off.
