Mine are still decent, about 30k Kilometers on them. I bought winter tires and rims for its second winter. Might get another spring summer and fall out of the stock set.
Lol, one guy scared me saying "nice truck" . he was sitting in a near exact pickup as mine. Although I think he has a hard tonneau and is an XLT not an XL like mine.
Also a woman at a dispensary I go to all the time has a blue XLT. Asks me how I like mine all the time.
I do be a little jealous...
I had an 09 GMC sierra 1500 when ordered but didn't last long enough to maverick delivery. Bought a 2014 chev sonic for a beater. (An ecoboost maverick actually gets better mileage)
OEM loyalist.
I think the truck is perfect the way it is. I treat mine like a pavement princess. I do take it on gravel roads, but i don't like to ( it chips away at your underbody finish, and will rust way quicker)
For more clearance and bigger tires, they do make Rangers.
Not saying this is your issue, but was my issue... there is a button near the head light knob that turns the dome off.
I'm not near my truck or would show you where it is.
Nice. I have a cheap 40 canadian peso camera thats supposed to be window mounted via 3m double sided tape. Ive had my windshield replaced since then and never bothered remounting it. This is a good idea.
I am also impressed with my rig on ice. I used the stock tires the first winter because finances and tires were newish.
But i bought an off grid property in the summer... its not a long driveway but has a steep slope when i meet the highway that i have to stop on due to it being near a blind...
Deicing the wipers and clearing snow out of the channel where the wipers rest.
Its hella annoying in canadastan.
It brings back terrible memories of owning a caprice... except im not getting stuck on level ground anymore.
I have an XL, i still think mine is a great value for what it is.
It may not like whiskey wrinkles as much as an on-frame truck. So i bought some nokian studded winter tires that hopefully will last a long time (mounted on the stock steelies, have the continentals mounted in nicer rims)
I do...
I live in Labrador, i havent had issues with my ecoboost, other than it doesnt want to stop high idle when its really cold on a cold start.
I don't have remote start, and never used the block heater.
Also often my truck is parked at airports for 2-3 weeks.
Wire casing can break easy when...
I didnt get the tow package. I dont own a trailer and no intentions to get anything bigger than a snowmobile trailer.
I kind of regret it. For the exact opposite reason... id like a bigger thermal mass to keep my truck cabin warm at -30c. My truck cools off way to quick. I can watch the temp...
I had a 2009 GMC seirra 1500, when order was placed. Had to buy a chev sonic for basic transportation until maverick delivery. An ecoboost maverick get better mileage than a NA chev sonic.
No regrets. Dont own a trailer so im not missing out on anything that the GMC could do, that the maverick...
Its a 550km drive to the "dealer" mine technically came from...
I got mine at a satellite retailer in my town... they also do most of said dealers warranty work ( engine/ trans they wont do).
I just pay the 120 canadian pesos for an oil change there... it will help with any disputes if i have...
