What you lose on the way up is at least partly recaptured on the way down depending on how steep the down grade is.
  2. Driver's Side Window Control

It's doubtful that fuse #6 blew. Rear window works.

I got lucky. They were all up at the time.
  4. Driver's Side Window Control

Anybody had the controls stop working? None of the windows will open from the driver's seat. I can reach over & work the passenger's side or rear driver's side from the switches on those doors but not from the master controls.
  5. Tow Mirrors

There used to be towing mirrors that clamped on the fender in the hood seam with a hook under the wheel well. They tightened down with a turnbuckle to grip the fender. These were from the 1970's.
  6. Dealer 10k service-- I got got, help me understand how badly

I don't know the brake pad thicknesses but my 2006 Toyota Camry was at 130k miles on the original pads in 2022 when I traded it for the Maverick. The Toyota dealer checked them every 5k miles when the oil was changed. It was also on its original 12v battery.
  7. Turn Auto AC off?

Right. That means it's responding to the input from the light sensor.
  8. Turn Auto AC off?

Then why does the fan speed up before the cabin heats up when the sensor goes from shade to sun?
  9. Turn Auto AC off?

It factors the outside temperature, inside temperature, & amount of sunlight into setting fan speed, etc. That little knot in the middle of the dash is the light sensor.
  10. Turn Auto AC off?

This is where it factors in the outside temperature.
  11. Interactive fusebox / fuse diagram

It works in reverse too. Pick the line Item & it highlights the fuse.

  16. Any tricks to getting the dealer logo off the paint?

Be careful around plastics such as the bumper. It will dissolve some such as a CD case.
  17. Garbage Jack Handle

These stay in the vehicle. https://www.harborfreight.com/12-in-drive-extendable-breaker-bar-58627.html https://www.harborfreight.com/12-in-drive-impact-flip-socket-set-3-piece-62491.html...
  18. Another data point for cv axle failure

Even Toyota can screw it up. The battery temperature sensor on the first year hybrid Camry was set too high. My battery cooling fan jammed due to no filter in front of it. The battery temperature warning didn't shut the hybrid system down until AFTER battery damage.
  19. Muslogy Maverick Mods Giveaway

First mods on my 22 Lariat were all weather floor mats and Maverick door sills.
  20. Onboard air, hidden mount air compressor.

Their little 4V works well for topping off tires but you have to hold the power button. It's my leave it in the truck/got a leak away from home inflater. At home is either the 18V or the big unit in the shop.
