I was wondering if that area would be a problem, after seeing some of the pics and videos of the underside. The crap they apply to the roads here in Maine should be banned.
Rant over. Has anyone looked into undercoating? There seem to be a lot of exposed and vulnerable areas that could stand...
Great Mistakes - - I had to look that one up. In 1969, the choices were volunteer or be drafted, pre-lottery. I'll have to ask my daughter, USN 1999-2005, if she heard of that moniker when she was there. Anyway, the important thing is that we got through it and got an honorable discharge at the end.
I spent a year after boot camp at GM school, ASROC was my specialty. Went to San Diego, May 1970, to the USS Lynde McCormick DDG-8. I didn't get to Maine until 2003.
It seems that we'll have a few stories to exchange, but obviously not on this forum. Nevertheless, I was there January 30, Company 072, just 10 miles east of my hometown. Stayed at Great Lakes for GM school. Hey, try not to freeze your a** off today, OK?
Happy New Year to you! Hopefully my hybrid ordered November 1 will arrive before the end of summer so I can attend a Maine Maverick owner meet-up. I'll be watching this thread. Also, as one Vietnam veteran to another, welcome home. USN, 1969-73.
I just posted this on a similar thread: Co Pilot 360 has very similar functionality to the driver assistance features on my 2020 Sonata Hybrid. Adding it to my order was a no-brainer. Looking forward to everything my Mav XLT Hybrid has to offer.

I had a deflector on my 2004 Ranger, already on it when I bought it used. It was screwed on and I removed it. I was hoping this one would also screw on but I guess that's old school. I'll be following the directions as soon I can get my truck in the garage, which won't be soon enough.
Got my deflector yesterday, still waiting for my VB XLT Hybrid. I'm glad to see a good photo of one installed. It looks great, just what I need up here in Maine. Question: Can I assume that I would want to install mine before I get the truck waxed, to ensure maximum adhesion?
I went back to the site and built the same truck I ordered with my salesman. I went as far as clicking on the "Create an Order" button to bring up the dialogue to submit it to my dealer. I stopped at hitting the "Submit Order" button. I'm guessing it will go to the dealership, and they'll...
I took a look at the "Build Your Maverick" webpage on Ford's website a few minutes ago. They removed the "Limited Availablity" notice for the Hybrid engine, and the entire order page has gone through a minor redesign. Does anyone know if some supply issue has prompted this change? I hope it...
When I went to my dealer to get my XLT Hybrid ordered, my salesman said that Ford had changed the process by requiring a driver's license to accompany the order. Apparently there were too many orders for people who didn't exist, to help boost the dealer's stock.
I told my wife yesterday to relax, follow my lead, and go with the flow. I've set my sights on an end-of-March birthday present with a 4th of July parade fallback date. What I really hoped to learn with this post is just how many 2022s are going to be made. It seems that Ford is taking on more...
I'm trying to make sense of the timeframe I could expect to wait for my Hybrid XLT, which was ordered on 1 November 2021. I read that there have been 20,000+ Mavs already built. I also read that there have been over 100,000 reservations received and that the max number that can be built is...
Yes. It bought it with 22,500 miles, Emberglo was the color I believe, came with an 8-track that didn't work, probably the belt drive wore out. Got the tranny rebuilt, but never got to tighten up the engine before I had to sell it. Wish I knew where it is now.
