Just a point of reference on battery size, I bought my survey crew an F150 powerboost crew cab. Basically an F150 hybrid Maverick. It works great, has been getting 23mpg around town fully loaded. It has a 1.5kw battery, which given the trucks weight, is about equal to a hybrid Maverick at 1.1kw.
I haven’t seen a weight distribution split between front and rear published, but 125 rear to 325 front would seem unlikely to me. Weight distribution may not be 50/50, but I doubt it’s more than 60/40. Then you still have the loading of the second bike, which would put a front wheel and rear...
My main concern would be the two bikes on the tailgate. So call that 450 lbs on the tailgate, and it is a live load as you could hit some bumps while driving.
Did the tailgate seem secure?
F150 Powerboost WT super crew long bed I picked up this year for $49,000 (including tax & lic.) has been getting 23.5mpg with a full load of tools and three men in it. It is 2wd, because I only keep 2 4x4’s at a time (one when needed for off road projects and one to recover that one when the...
Just emailed my dealer today and asked her to remove the splash guards from my hybrid lariat. My dealer is a commercial truck specialist and may be a bit clueless on constraints, but she got my maverick ordered the very first day orders were open, and got me a F150 Powerboost WT ordered and...
My 2019 Colorado 4wd Z71 club cab, with wireless charging pad, was $32,000. I’m sending it in to one of my survey crews and downsizing to a maverick hybrid assuming my first day order comes in.
Diamondbacks are a solid product. I’m a land surveyor and currently have two diamondbacks on work trucks, a 2008 Chevy Silverado (so 14 years old) and a 7 year old cover that is now on a powerboost F150, that survived my 2015 Silverado getting totaled earlier this year.
Both covers get hard...
Lariat lux hybrid, cyber orange with blackout package, copilot 360 & copilot assist & splash guards.
May remove the splash guards if it helps get this thing built.
