Those of who use a USB drive have been complaining about this for some time. How does Ford know that it is not a passenger who wishes to browse for a change in music while the vehicle is in motion? I, too, wish for a solution, but I don't know of one. If anyone actually has a way to circumvent...
Thanks. I downloaded ver 2.3.56 tonight and will try it tomorrow. I'd be surprised if this fixes it because the version I have been using initially listed the IPMA module for this vehicle. Anyway, I'll follow up with the results of the latest version tomorrow. Thanks.
Yes, Forscan originally showed an IPMA for this Maverick. The IPMA is protected by Fuse #3 in the BCM fuse box. This fuse also controls the automatic high beam control, which still works as it should, so it wouldn't be the fuse. I didn't actually remove the saved vehicle, but I renamed the...
I attempted to enable TSR, or Traffic Sign Recognition. It doesn't work, but going back in just now, Forscan does not list the IPMA module anymore. I even tried generating a new vehicle configuration, bu no luck. Any ideas from all you Forscan geniuses on how to recover it?
My MP3 player would only connect with bluetooth speakers/ear buds, not my XLT media system. It did work, however, using a BT transmitter that the Mav would pair with, and tuning to an unused radio frequency. PIA, definitely! Ford, please allow us to browse the USB flash drive while in motion!
I didn't see additional options on my '23 XLT - only enabled and disabled for “DRL = low beam”. Also, when I attempt to change "Using Low Beam with DRL" from enabled (the default) to disabled, I am unable to write that change; I receive a "vehicle conditions are incorrect" message. I am using...
baseballchamps, that's what TruckinUpToBoffalo did. There are many complaints with the XT and XLT Maverick owners' inability to browse music stored on a flash drive while in motion. And many threads of discussion on this topic. Only the Lariat has Sync 3 support for voice commands to change the...
I, too am very unhappy with the limitations of not being able to select music on my USB drive while the Maverick is in motion. Right now, it is somehow playing all the music alphabetically by song title, which is what I have to live with (not a horrible option but not always desirable), or use...
I think it depends on what is listed in the android auto launcher. Music from USB drive isn't one of the choices. I don't have pandora, amazon music, etc on my phone so that's why I can't select music. But thanks for your response.
Would also be good to be able to customize the split screen with the NAV and maybe have music or something other than only news and podcast options on the other side. Ideas?
Agree totally. 5 buttons to push each and every time I start the truck. One (OK button) so I don't have to wait for that annoying seal belt display to time out (can we eliminate that display with FORscan?), then 4 more to change from Normal to Eco driving mode. Ford could have done better by...
I am using the very latest version, downloaded yesterday (5/17/2023). I loaded the Windows drivers to my laptop, bought the less expensive recommended OBDII adapter, and it works like a champ. Only trouble is that I am seeing completely different codes than what others have posted for their...
