Seems like a good price. I've had estimates , and it's around 6-7 hundred dollars to have done aftermarket. Only negative is it'll hold up your Maverick being delivered.
I'd be on their butt's to get it fixed. We had an escape bought new that had a bad strut making noise also, it had around 500 miles on it. Did they check the spare tire to make sure it's secured in place.
I don't have them but mine is a concrete critter, if I was on gravel or dirt roads a lot then I'd have them. You should also get this...

Yeah, it's either the door stuck or the blend door actuator went kapoot. I dont know about the Maverick but some have to have the dash removed to replace a 30 dollar actuator. Bizarre. Good luck.
