I'm finally well satisfied with the EGR in-channel ones in dark smoke. The matt black ones obscures too much area as well as too much of the passenger side mirrow.
So today I stopped at the Ford dealer again and asked if I could chat with the trim tech for a couple of minutes to see if they had encountered this problem. I was told "No", but they did send out an employee who owned a Maverick. He said the only situation he had hear of was the seat locking...
So the recall only deals with towing trailers with brakes which I won't be doing. I don't want to pay $200-300 for a rental while getting the back seat fixed, but I would need a vehicle to take the wife to physical therapy and such.
Still haven't got it fixed as it has been difficult for me to take it in and be without it for a while. There is a recall coming for a towing software issue so when the letter arrives I'll schedule both items.
Please let me know how your situation comes out.
I don't know about other states but Texas has auctions for people who want to sell their plates. Houston lawyer Tony Buzbee had the high bid of $115,00 for the pate " 12THMAN" which he turned around and donated to a veteran.
I picked up my plates today...
I often transport wounded warriors and elderly veterans who would never be able to safely get into my F-150. Even with the Maverick it's just high enough to cause severe strain on joints and ligaments. A running board would be a blessing for sure.
If anyone runs across a good one that has the...
Good post. The easy way to get them right is after cleaning the area with alcohol then a go a couple of inches in from each end measure 1/2" up from the edge of the metal and stick a small piece of masking tape at each spot. Then just line up the top edge of the vent with the bottom of the...
The only reason I use them is so when you park outside in the hot sun you can lower your windows down an inch or two to get some cross ventilation without rain pouring in.
The ones Ford supplies for Mavericks are made by Lund...

You might like them but they just had too much of a "stick on" look so I removed them. They will work just fine however.
I've had the stick-on type Side Window Defectors on my F-150's, GMC, Chevy, and Toyota's and they looked fine. But the stick on ones from Ford just don't look good at all on my new Mustang.
Weathertech claims they will have the channel type for Mavericks if enough owners want them. You can...
Thanks for the suggestions. I tried that and everything else......maybe I should get a fat gal in the backseat?
Will probably end up taking it to the dealer.
Has anyone else had this problem. No matter how hard either strap is pulled the seat won't raise to access storage. It goes up 3" and that's it. None of my F-150's had the strap, you just raised the seat and I never had a seat fly up.
