  1. Is this the all Electric Maverick EV??

lmao this comment wins the thread!
  2. Is the Mav the best vehicle and value you have ever owned - hybrid only responses.

Best Vehicle: Hard to determine 'best' for a vehicle, different people have different opinions on what's important. As for as vehicle quality, its on the lower end since I've had Hondas and Toyotas. Best Value: Yes the Mav is up there for sure. When I bought it in 2023, it was one of cheapest...
  3. 2025 AWD Hybrid 19" Wheels: Largest AT tire that will fit without rubbing?

This is the size I'd personally go with. It makes the Mav look way better, and isn't going to completely trash the fuel economy.
  4. TuxMats

I have tuxmats, I don't think it'll affect entry/exit because they come up high-ish but still slightly lower than the highest point of door sill. What might be a bit annoying is the material. It's not as 'rough' as some other mats, it feels a bit smoother, especially when brand new or clean...
  5. Any tricks to getting the dealer logo off the paint?

Agree with everyone saying hair dryer and dental floss. If its in the sun on a really hot summer day you wont even need the hair dryer. I've done that to remove dealer stickers and badging off every car I've ever had with no issues and minimal to no glue residue either.
  6. What effect on Maverick HYBRID MPG's does wheel weight increase have?

I think you'll notice a 2-5 mpg decrease. I noticed about the same decrease in mpg with going to 30" tires and my wheels are about 5lbs heavier because of the larger tires. My best MPG was 49 on stock wheels/tires a month after I got the car, and 47 with my stock wheels and bigger tires on my...
  7. Actual MPG v Indicated MPG

do you mean like the app can see location info and that sort of stuff?
  8. Actual MPG v Indicated MPG

The trip computer mileage will always be off, its too optimistic. After I got larger diameter tires (30") it is much closer, but that's because the car travels farther than the computer thinks it travels. I personally would leave it and know whatever it says my actual MPG is about 3-4 worse...
  9. Tire Recommendations for a smoother ride?

Agreed with a lot of comments here. - The Maverick is VERY smooth riding and drives like a SUV/Car rather than a truck - Michelin Defenders are the smoothest tire I've driven on personally, I google'd it and it seems the Michelin Primacy 4 are probably even smoother - Going with a smaller wheels...
  10. What happens when tuners realize the hybrid HP/TQ numbers?

I also think the OP is over simplifying the effort in upgrading the Maverick's electrical capacity and also overestimating the power gains.
  11. JD Powers says the Santa Cruz is the #1 "midsize" truck?

Lots of new cars have issues, the Maverick more than any other I've owned, but I appreciate Ford does these recalls quickly rather than try to avoid them to look better and leave customer hanging. Same. I think the Santa Cruz looks ugly and I personally think that's one of the major reasons...
  12. Tire Recommendations for a smoother ride?

CrossClimates are a bit loudish. I don't think they are as smooth as defenders, but it might just be the noise that made them feel rougher. keep in mind, they are awesome tires and what I am saying is just a direct comparison to the defenders which are also awesome tires. Also, where do you...
  13. What happens when tuners realize the hybrid HP/TQ numbers?

From what I remember, the battery is under the passenger side and Ford had a blank spot for another battery under the driver side, so it sounds like battery capacity can be doubled. With that being said, this isn't a machine with electronics, it's a computer with mechanical parts. Everything...
  14. Anyone getting rust on the undercarriage?

I assume the unprotected mavs will definitely have rust problems in about 5-8 years in the northern states and Canada after a video I saw of the underbody.
  15. Mabett Retractable Ratchet Straps Available Now – Secure Your Cargo with Ease!

+1 I also cant find this using the search on amazon.ca
  16. Hypermiling Challenge for 2.5L Hybrid

Yeah I wish it had a bigger battery as well, I know I could take advantage of it on some slower country roads and in the city when there's a lot of traffic. I suspect its one of those things with diminishing returns where doubling or even tripling the battery size might make a smaller...
  17. Prepping for Non-Use (Hybrid)

I’ve left mine 2 weeks at a time with no issues. If the battery issue happens I’d want to know about it asap so I can take it to Ford and have the lengthy process of fixing it start sooner rather than later.
  18. Toyota and Subaru bringing a compact truck?

Toyota has been smart not throwing out a lot of full EVs because they know that full EVs aren't actually better for the environment right now contrary to what most people think. People with common sense and Toyota know that hybrids and PHEVs are the sweet spot right now. If infrastructure and...
  19. Toyota and Subaru bringing a compact truck?

Even if they announce today that they are doing it, it'll be years before we see anything on the road. With that being said, I hope for a surprise announcement that it's secretly been in testing and they are releasing 2026 Stout with orders available in late 2025, based on the Rav4 which comes...
  20. Prepping for Non-Use (Hybrid)

For only 9 days you don't need to do anything. If you are really worried about the 12v battery drain issue, you could use a tender, but I personally wouldn't since any normal car should be able to handle that amount of time.
