  1. If they made a full EV Maverick, would you buy, switch? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Likely not, unless it was flat towable, then I would consider it... but not likely. We have a EV (Tesla Y) and have the love/hate affair with it. Actually it is the DW car not mine, I am picking up my 25 Lariat Hybrid tomorrow, so limited opinion about it but having rented a hybrid before and...
  2. Ford Maverick turn signal recall issued again

Well if the nav system is telling me to turn and the system is basically tied into everything, software engineers should be able to write a program to have an auto turn signal when navigating... Makes sense to me.
  3. Tonneau Cover Buying Guide

I wonder what the market would think about A woody rolling top.... Like a roll top desk
  4. Customize my Maverick

So you are thinking that a small wind powered generator in there? Not sure how much it would benefit the whole truck system but I agree it could be an issue for the electrical system. I did see a mod for an extra with battery under the rear seat. The set up was nicely done and the guy that did...
  5. Bed liner, bed lights and tonneau cover install

Preparing for my delivery... how do you like that bed cover... any issues noted?
  6. Maverick headlights beam shadows?

I had a guy at work mount a train horn to his truck... Had to put two compressor tanks in the truck to operate it. It was a heart attack maker at stop lights.
  7. Maverick headlights beam shadows?

My grandfather use to run loads of booze on switchback roads with his lights off... Lights, we don't need no stinking lights... we got booze to enhance our eyesight. And we don't want no stinking Feds either
  8. Maverick headlights beam shadows?

Mirrors? we don't need no stinking mirrors. what is behind us is not important if we are passing everything.
  9. Snow = I'm impressed (2025 Maverick Lariat Hybrid on stock 19" Goodyear Wrangler HT)

I lived in Alaska for 9 years driving a Honda Element AWD for most of the time. Never got it stuck (high sided) or lost control. Ya I had steel studded tires for the winter but we actually drove 60 on ice covered highways. Difference is being use to it. The Glen highway had a grader with a...
  10. Ford to launch Maverick EV (I hope this is true)

My two cents... We have a Tesla Y and it is without a doubt the most fun car to drive... but it is not without fault. Range is a huge issue. We have the long range advertised at 320 miles, not exactly true. Max we get is like 270ish, remember everything runs draws power. AC, Heater and so on...
  11. I asked ChatGPT to roast my Maverick purchase....

Those responses are great roasts. Reminds me of the robot on Interstellar that has level of honesty, sarcasm and humor. LARS. It also makes me wonder if the developer was raised in NYC.
  12. Issues with Tariffs, both Mexico AND Canada [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS; MEMBERS ALREADY BANNED FOR IT]

Well that's one way to practice the ABCs before the test starts... Yes Orificaer, I been practicing my ACBs....
  13. Issues with Tariffs, both Mexico AND Canada [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS; MEMBERS ALREADY BANNED FOR IT]

I am in the same boat, not sure if it will get past the tariffs, hoping but not sure. I will patiently wait, see if the price is affected and the dealer voids the contract with their loophole.
  14. Issues with Tariffs, both Mexico AND Canada [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS; MEMBERS ALREADY BANNED FOR IT]

As long as it is not lowest bid competition that doesn't account for overruns and corner cutting. (Retired military)
  15. Issues with Tariffs, both Mexico AND Canada [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS; MEMBERS ALREADY BANNED FOR IT]

Only if it is processed thru the port... until it is out of the port it will have a tariff imposed is the way I understand it. Either way it would benefit Ford to get the max cars thru before, which I hope mine did.
