Amen brother. I’m with you on many points. We can pick and choose from a number of purchase points and perhaps big business will take note and improve the options all around.
All cars both new and used ( oops previously driven by others 😂) , need a butt test. Does my body fit in this rig and do...
Yes indeed times change - but I have mellowed a tad. Today it amazes me to hear that folks are buying expensive vehicles without sitting, smelling, touching, or otherwise in any contact with it before purchasing.
The entire process can be nearly void of human contact and the rig is delivered...
As a gear head for my entire life ..... literally born into it, I am with you as it has been my experience that I usually know more about the vehicle I am interested in than the rep trying to move it off the lot. That’s not bragging it’s just exposing my pathetic attention to detail and doing...
Old Ranchero -
Nice Avatar as it shows it’s original California heritage with the black & yellow plate. Hope you kept one of those when it was moved out of its home state. ✔️🇺🇸
All the best to you.
A couple of examples unfortunately I can’t find a shot of one on a vehicle. That‘s quite a bit of metal that would become part of your trunk...... ✔
My uncle had it put in the contract that they would not install the dealers logo on his new Pontiac GTO in ‘66.
Smart fella.....
Yes indeed and a good point - embossing is a real statement and unavoidable. The hot rod world is looking for a clean slate quite often and older trucks usually had embossed tailgates. If you dislike that now many after market suppliers offer a blank slate type tailgate.
The badge I am...
Frightening reminder of my youth when I saw new vehicles with metal dealer scripted logos attached to the rear trunk or rear panel. They literally drilled holes in the new car/truck and screwed or riveted the emblem - logo onto your new ride.
Perhaps someone has a photo of this nightmare from...
The Maverick as it was in 2010, with a fresh coat of Meguiar’s cleaning wax and highlighting two original ouch dents. First one on the hood at the very front and #2 on passenger door..... “installed” by the original owner a 92 year sweetheart Grandma. Garaged all it’s life, no rust, and the...
Of note:
The Michelin tire shown is Made in Mexico... in keeping with the Hermosillo supply line. Great pictures and even more real world insight . Our humble thanks ✔️
Yahtzee on the spare tire pic ( a steel donut mini spare ), because box not checked as an optional full size spare on this 2.0 eng., and a solid look at Cactus Grey in the real world compared to the now VERY large F-150. Great comparison and well done by all - Thanks ✔️🇺🇸
Man o‘ man that Cyber Orange really pops in this setting!
Reminds me of the singer trying to cover the song “ she bangs, she bangs” ......the old American Idol singer.
The color really is making a solid strong statement.
Thanks for sharing ✔️
