Thanks for the heads up about Slippery mode. I haven't really tried that one. I accidentally put it in sport mode once and it does suck gas a lot. Eco mode does have a temporary switch-to-sport-mode-on-demand feature that happens if you punch the accelerator hard. The switchover is not...
Android auto never worked on my truck so I disabled it. I have some buttons on the steering wheel that I will play with and see if they do anything, but I suspect they are limited to answering and hanging up.
If Normal and Eco mode are the same, then why have two of them? Its possible your truck is just different, but on mine, there is about a 5-10 mpg difference between eco and standard. All I can say is for you to try eco mode on a known route and then compare to standard on the same route.
It...
Thanks. Yes, that is exactly what I was looking for.
The 24XL does have some little phone icons on the steering wheel, but I have never used them. The phone connects automatically to the truck via bluetooth every time I get in it. It does sync with the phones phonebook and recent call...
Not really. The eco mode is substantially different. IT tries to hang out in electric only mode as much as possible. The other modes seem to only go electric when they don't have a choice such as during braking. Sometimes they even keep the engine running when you are stopped at a light. In...
I have the 2024 and I agree that it is the best vehicle I've owned. However, because its a trucklet and not a real truck with a frame, I am constantly worried some idiot will pull in front of me and wreck it. Or something will break that costs a million dollars to fix. So far, nothing like...
Yesterday I found myself in a life threatening emergency while driving in the Maverick. I'm not going into detail here, but when I went to call 911 from the console, it says that it has disabled the cell phone while the truck is in motion for my "safety." So I end up nearly having an...
For the D-ring bolt holes on the bed floor, those are too large for M6 bolts on my truck. And too small to be tapped for M8. They have to be drilled, but 5/16" is too large. The correct drill size is 6.8mm if you have metric drill bits, or 17/64" if you have standard bits.
I have to correct myself. A 5/16" bit is too large for an M8 bolt. As soon as I tried to tighten them down, they stripped out with minimal force. I'm going to try to re-tap as a 3/8" bolt, and if that doesn't work, nuts on the bottom.
I haven't had mine long enough to join the 700 club yet. I hope to qualify soon.
I did see a MPG small gain when I used 87 regular gas instead of the high octane from the factory. Today was actually my very first fill up since last month when I bought it at the dealer. Before, on one trip, I...
Seems like everyone has different bolt sizes. On my 2024 XL, the missing hook style tie downs on the upper bed wall near the tailgate was M6 for sure. However, the D-Ring tie down holes near the cab on the bed floor were M8x1.25. Well at least they are now. I had to drill out the M8 holes...
