That thermometer icon looks terrible. Of course you can see/change the temp through various other screens. The change is still terribly ugly and not what we signed up for.
I find solace knowing that my order is an XL, meaning someone on here will figure out how to swap in the original dial, as...
Still waiting on my Maverick (on rail) but interested in making a "power pack" that ideally fits inside the storage cubby. Very similar to this member except I want battery/inverter/charger to ALL reside in the fender and draw charging power from the 12V flexbed pigtails.
Originally I was...
I'm surprised the solar charge controller didn't work - how would it even know what source is generating the DC power? I would assume as long as the input is above some minimum wattage it'd be fine...
EDIT: FWIW yours was already a PWM controller, but I found this comment. "A PWM...
I'm seeing a lot of "couldn't hurt" comments regarding changing oil after approximately 5 seconds of ownership. I have absolutely no experience to back this up, but I've heard from several sources that modern oils (especially synthetics) are so thin and low-friction that they actually inhibit...
If you happen to still have it, I found out (after I already had it repaired) that's it's essentially just bolting it in-line with the air intake. Literally 4 bolts and 1 electrical plug - lots of YouTube videos. Not sure if you have to take it to a dealer for calibration or something, but I...
Sept: Lost my CRV in hurricane IDA (actually swept away in it, stuck in a treetop for 4 hours, fun times...)
Next day: Borrowed my dad's "extra vehicle" to give me a chance to get a replacement.
Oct: Ordered a Maverick, should be about 2 months but could be as long as 3 months...
Jan: This is...
We really have covered literally everything at this point. Did anyone ever get resolution on the font used for the Ford logo on the head of the interior door handle bolts?
Looks cool, but the thing is when you're doing truck stuff you may need to back the rear bumper up against a pile of manly things when loading, and then the exhaust would get plugged up. That's why Ford tends to do a side-exit and although RAM does the dual exhaust out the back they nest it up...
Not to pile on, but I legit viewed this thread excited to find out what a hotpot was, and to determine if I NEEEEEDED one for my upcoming Maverick.
My best used car salesman impression:
"Only 200 miles! This baby will last you a long time!" <slaps roof>
"Oh wow, I can reach the roof! Can't do that in my Super Duty!"
<slaps again>
Oh, LiPePO4 is definitely the way to go and yeah they don't out-gas. I meant venting to prevent heat buildup under decently heavy and/or prolonged inverter usage. You're fine behind the seat but if I do manage to stuff all this inside the bed cubby it'll be toasty running circular saws etc.
You...
I have been planning to add a bed inverter as soon as my truck finally arrives, but 2 comments/questions about yours:
Firstly, at that price point that has to be a modified since wave inverter so be cognizant of what types of things you plug into it or they won't be happy.
Secondly, I was...
Total guess here, but the high energy usage for the painting process could simply be because of heated drying. I would have thought welding machines would also be large power hogs but I suppose a spot weld is a very short burst.
