I don't have my Maverick yet but I've wondered how vulnerable the shifter knob might be to spills.
On other vehicles I've used canned compressed air keyboard cleaners to clean up spills around electrical switches. That seemed to work well.
Sounds like all the Asheville people are trading their Subarus for Mavs š
Over here at the other end of the state Iāve only seen one, and itās owned by our town
Thanks for sharing the video. I've been looking at those same tires (once I finally get my truck and the 235/65 Wildpeaks need replacing). I think they're an ideal size for this small truck.
Those Firestones have the OWL sidewalls, right? Are yours reversed or do they also come in black...
Nice looking truck! I have an identical one on order. The wheels and 235 Wildpeaks were kind of a pricey option @$795, but I didn't want to go with any smaller AT tire than that.
OP, you might be able to find a used set of those wheels. A lot of FX4 owners seem to be upgrading their tires and...
Thanks for posting that. I was having the same problem trying to view my window sticker until I pulled up that second link on my laptop and was able to view and print a clean copy. Not sure why it didnāt work on my iPhone.
Did you get a new email from Ford indicating your truck is now in production?
Some other members, myself included, have a 01/15/2024 build date and also show āin productionā when you go to the tracker.
someone suggested that this likely means that the build order has gone to the factory...
Thatās interesting. The last update I got from FMC on 12-12-2023 said my production date has been changed from 1-08-2024 to 1-15-2024.
I just went to the track order link on that email and, like yours, it says the vehicle is in production. Also no link provided in that email to the window...
Before spending money on new tires or other expensive fixes, have you tried airing down your front tires to maybe 15 psi for added traction? Keep a portable tire inflator in your truck to get you back on the road.
Spotted this work truck owned by the town of Oak Island NC last month in the town hall parking lot. Itās actually the only confirmed sighting (for me) of a āMav in the wild.ā Until now, Mavs were like jackalopesāonly known to exist in pictures.

Whats wrong with a brush-on paint job? Iāve painted several vehicles like that over the yearsāā48 Willyās Jeep; ā66 Jeep p/u; ā67 El Camino; ā42 Ford farm tractor⦠all you need is a can of Rustoleum, a paintbrush and a lot of beer. They all looked great from 50 ft away.
I remember the old Ford...
I ordered a ā24 FX4 in Azure Gray last month. That color costs an extra $495 so Iām not sure how popular it will be.
The Ford dealer happened to have an F150 tremor in that color on the lot so I took a pic of it so my wide could sign off on it š (See pic above)
