That seems counterintuitive. A wider tire leaves a wider footprint, so why would you want to run lower pressures and further increase the contact area? Narrower tires have a smaller footprint, so it would make sense to air those tires down a little.
I wouldn't worry about the drop-in liner damaging the bed. I've had one piece liners in other trucks that have been in place for 25 years, and haven't seen any noticeable wear on the paint (except for liners that extend over the top of the bed).
Drop-in liners are very sturdy. You'll need to...
The Ford mats are currently on back order. I’m waiting on one of those myself.
If you decide on some other options I’d suggest getting something that fits pretty snugly or is a heavy enough material that it won’t be blown out of the bed at highway speeds. Don’t ask me how I know!
My final build was completed on Jan 15 and it arrived at the dealer just 3 weeks later (last Friday). I picked it up yesterday.
I don't know what all variables determine how long it takes until it gets to the dealer, but I'd guess your wait wont be long.
…and brought it home yesterday—a little less than 4 months from the date I ordered it.
I really like this color, and how it changes hue in different lighting conditions. Reminds me of one of those old mood rings!
I don’t have any plans for significant mods at this point. I’m installing the...
Just arrived at the Ford dealer in Shallotte NC. Fresh off its long train ride, with dust from Sonoran Mexico still on it.
Looking forward to getting it home.
If its a quality craft beer I've learned to open them using any number of makeshift openers without spilling a drop.
That tailgate opener doesn't look like a problem but maybe could be improved if the tab was bent down a bit using a hammer or some vice grips.
Welcome! Marion is a nice town. Would like to hear how the hybrid does when you get a chance to take it up into the mountains.
I think you'll find a lot of helpful information here.
My hypothesis is that many drivers are seeing Mavericks for the first time and are wondering, "what the heck kinda truck is that" and run up too close behind one to get a better look at it and BAM!
I think getting those after market tailgate MAVERICK letters might be a good idea!
Before giving up on a vehicle that I had thoroughly researched and waited so long to get I’d definitely have the dealer inspect it to see if they can fix the problem in a timely manner. If it really drives that poorly then they should be able to identify the problem quickly. Time spent in the...
There’s a lot of Ford dealers in and around your area. I’d try calling some of them and ask about their current wait times for a truck like you want, or try to get on a list for vehicles that the buyer declines.
Mine has been built and is currently being shipped, but both the WS link on the tracker forum and the one provided by the Ford email update show the window sticker as not available.
I went here http://fordwindowsticker.com/ and was able to view and download it, when the vehicle went into...
It shouldn't be long now. I had the same build week (15 Jan), and went to the tracker last week to see that it was listed as in production. Got the notice that it was built on the 18th or 19th, and got an email at 4:54 am today that it had been shipped. Give it a few more days and then start...
If you have a riding mower or an ATV you can get a rear blade that would work for snow removal as well as light-duty grading. You'd need to buy a manual 1-point lift to tote it around.
