Been using my small local dealer for years. I like to shop locally when I can. He has 7 mav's ordered and I am #1 ordered 6/10. Been priority 10 since day one.
I will never go this route again, if it ain't on the lot I ain't buying it.
In fact if and when I do get my Mav I will drive it...
12 pages of whoopee's .
Now stop and take a breath. the OKTB is 12/8, so they have started to ship 9 days early?? It will take 9 days for the Mav's to get to the dealerships for them to buy.
Those of you with one sitting out in the desert, great hopefully you will get them before Christmas...
I am 68, a Ford retiree, do most of my driving around town. So a Hybrid makes a lot of sense for me. Plus being easier to get in and out of. Don't know for sure but this could be my last new vehicle, so I have a FE Hybrid will all the bells and whistles ordered.
might also be damage to the interior. many auto racks are full of illegal's trying to get over the border. Seen picture of them searching each car to get them out.
From a Ford retiree's perspective.
30 yr. at Ford, always purchased a new Ford.
This process may make it the last one I purchase.
I do not buy that Ford was shocked by the number of orders in general and hybrids they got. Come on the hybrid was the standard offer and $20,000 base price...
Guess I am getting so used to not being scheduled I am starting to lose interest in the small details.
All I know is I WILL have my FE by the end of this model year because it is only being offered for the 2022 model year.
Last thing I heard is that in very early November Ford was going to stop taking orders for hybrids. It would be nice that at that point they start filling all the Hybrid orders first and clear up the list. Maybe even build a few hybrid First Editions, Like the one I ordered five months ago.
Well a lot of interesting reading and opinions here. I will just have to wait to get mine a see how it drives. Being retired I got nowhere to go and all day to get there.
