Have these tires. Bought a second set of rims and blizzaks for the winter. Were decent in light snow. They are not significantly different from the Falken Wildpeaks I have on my GTI. Not a true winter/snow tire.
Will someone with a B&O amp please remove and post a picture of one of the fasteners that holds the amp to the bracket behind the rear seat? Dealer provided a part that does not look correct (see image below).
Thank you!
Ending up tapping the 5mm holes in the existing bracket to mount the amp rack. Should be plenty strong. Soldered all the terminals after crimping the conductor grip
So far behind on this. Have made progress - definitely not a budget friendly build happening here. Need to pull trim to run the power cable. Not as much room as I hoped. Custom harness connections to allow for easy adjustments to the ststem.
Like many of you, the stock system is not cutting it for me. I am in general impressed with the imaging and staging (when using a wired source with a high quality MP3 or FLAC); my hope is I can get a clean signal from the HU. I'm going to start with more power and a DSP. I'm going to...
I had this same set in my Mazda. They’re a solid speaker set - YMMV. For me, they are similar to a Hertz k 170. Warm sound, solid tweeter, midrange is ok. Ran them with a jl xd400/4. Did not run them active, used the passive xover.
Thanks for the links, will save me a lot of time. What about load resistors? Are those needed for the base system? I've never had to use them in prior builds...
Bought a set of steelies with Blizzaks. Proceeded to drive from Chicago to Detroit in the snowstorm last week. Amazon trucks in the ditch; I had no problems the entire trip. Great in the snow/slippery conditions.
It's funny how much the quality varies from song to song. High quality MP3/FLAC helps, but needs more power and improved imaging overall. I'm going to start with a DSP and see how much improvement that provides before removing trim panels.
Thanks for taking the plunge. I emailed TuxMats yesterday and they would not confirm the bronco sport mat would fit the front of the Maverick. I've had these in my GTI for years. Great product.
Finally received my window sticker today and it's now stating a 22JAN22 at dealer date. Will believe it when I see it, but perceived progress is good, right?
