I installed these in the BRAKE and in the TURN SIGNAL sockets, just to see if they work, before I installed them in BACKUP lamp sockets (2022 Mav XL). They fit easily and did NOT throw any codes.
Nice job. Is the black plastic door inner panel glued to the steel door, or can it be removed after removing the 10 large white circular bolt thingies? And please update us when you figure out how to access the tweeters and/or head unit.
Of course a driver is responsible for controlling his car. Even Elon admits that. But driving north on I75 yesterday a pickup started slowly drifting into my lane. No big deal, it happens frequently, but because I was paying attention I was able to move over and avoid contact. Maybe she was...
Sorry if this is redundant.
My 2022 XL with Co pilot 360 has power adjust, manual fold mirrors. It does not have any form of cruise control.
It has orange blind spot detection warnings in the mirror.
It has lane centering: when it detects lines on both sides of the road, as you drift off...
Thanks also. Ordered also. I went slowly, so the chat guy came up and offered it for his "special chat price". $239.47, free FedEx delivery.
UPDATE: after 1 week I chatted with Realtruck.com and was told they are not in stock and were ordered from the manufacturer. They tell me it could...
My tint info (XL, no tint option)
- the pro (Sun Shade on Van Dyke, Warren, MI) said the front sides had essentially zero tint.
- rear sides and back come with 18%
- he installed 18% on the front side windows, which matches the factory rear sides
- he installed 18% over the factory 18% on the...
Thanks a ton for the info. Can you elaborate on the rear C pillar upper trim: which direction are you pulling? Toward the hood ( F/A) or toward the opposite side (cross car). And you pull UP at the same time?
My first Ford. AWD XL Copilot 360.
- I'm liking the headlamps: they go to bright automatically and dim automatically. Very nice. Very well done.
- The gentle nudge from auto lane centering is something I thought I would disable. I was wrong. I set it on high and find it valuable and not...
Mine only has 200 miles on it, so I have only touched 70 mph for a short time, but I did not notice anything unusual (AWD, 2.0l). If mine develops a vibration I may try adding a local stiffening patch (Dynamat or something similar.) Check that the hinge bolts are still tight.
Update after 500...
After a chat with SiriusXM customer service, I was informed that the 3 month free trial, mentioned in the brochure I found in my glove box, does not apply to their streaming service. Unless your Maverick has SiriusXM capability built in (the base radio does not), you cannot get a free 3 month...
I would be happy to if I could figure out how to get the C pillar trim off. It feels like part of it wants to pull away in pieces. I tried nylon trim removal tools but no joy; I will keep trying. If anybody has solid trim removal advice please lmk.
Just a thought: A "2x6" is actually approx 1 1/2 x 5 1/2", more or less. Isn't the TREX mentioned a nominal 1x6, or closer to 5/8" thick? If so, you would need 2 pieces, each 54" long.
I am not an audiophile, but the base audio system in my Maverick is (obviously my opinion) poor. The mid range sounds muddy and the base is an afterthought. It needs some help.
I may wait to see what components others use to upgrade, but audio is subjective and many of us suffer from...
I agree. The backup lights are bad. I just ordered the WT21W bulbs from Amazon, will install Saturday.
Update: WT21W leds easily fit in the middle (backup taillight) socket. They do NOT throw codes and do not need resistors. (For grins I also tried them in the upper and lower stop/turn...
In keeping with Ford's theme of encouraging user mods of the Maverick, I suggest the moderators of this forum create a DIY subsection on Mavericktruckclub.com.
