I bought two occ and only installed the clean side. I learned that the dirty side only bypasses the Ford factory oil separator which defeats the OEM equipment purpose.

I have plugged tires in this area but I know that no tire shop will due to liability issues but I have one on my sports car for three years now exactly like this location. All four tires are asymmetric and directional so can not be rotated.

So the final diagnosis for my problem was that a zip tie for the front right wheel speed sensor wiring was not installed and the wire made contact with the wheel and wore through the insulation. They ordered a new sensor wiring harness pigtail and it is fine now.

The dealer told me that similar issues have occurred with the 12 volt battery in ecoboosts.

Mine is an ecoboost, Ive had one recall done, no others pending.
