The f150 shifter has buttons on it to shift, so no. Iām gonna get it wired up to work via the shifter. The manual mode does work. I can hear the truck shift down when I hit the M button. I also need to reprogram the BCM/PCM so that selectshift is enabled.
I plan on getting the shifter buttons working too. Based on the info for the paddle shifters, itāll be pretty straight forward. Just need to look at the F150 manual to find the right pins to tap into on the shifter itself. Luckily the PCM side of things is already covered on the forum!
Itās a pain. I woulda done paddle shifters had I known. But regardless just wanna keep this on topic, this isnāt an opinion thread on doing it or not. Just informative.
This isnāt a post about whether to do it or not. Itās a how to. Please keep it on topic because thereās no info about it on the forum and itās been done before and Iām trying to document it with accurate depictions on what has to be done. I donāt want this thread cluttered with irrelevant info...
Okay, so after a lot of trimming and moving stuff around on the floor of the center console, itās gonna fit pretty well! But I will say, there was a lot of shuffling around that needed to be done. Had to remove one of the mounts and then chop off one of the bolts from as pictured
Then I had to...
Edit: Hereās a link to the video. Hopefully this helps someone whoās on the fence make an informed decision on whether to do this mod or not.
(Mods: If this is in the wrong forum please move to the correct one) Okay so, I FINALLY decided to add the F-150 shifter and OH MY DAYS is it...
I donāt have an FX4 model so I wouldnāt be able to tell you but Iād imagine there shouldnāt be any modifications needed for the front axles. I canāt verify for sure but I donāt see why Ford would need to change the lengths for the front ones like that.
Okay reviving this. I got it to work on my M2 Mac air. Using Homebrew and Wine. My issue is the fact that it takes 15 minutes just to get some modules to show up. Tried increasing the baud rate only to have it fail. Most I could get it to was like 37 kbps. Any chance thereās anyone with a...
Looking at these replies has me kinda thinking about other companies now. My wife's base model 23 Camry LE is sitting at I want to say 40k with less features standard than my XLT which was 35k. It's an econobox if I've ever seen it and it's had wayyyyy more issues with quality control than most...
My AWD EB XLT with a BAP came in at 35K OTD, then put down 5k, which had my loan at 30k. I still feel as though I paid just a bit much too. Considering what it is, and what is offered, I am a bit jealous of those that got the same options at a few thousand less than what I got mine at. Not to...
Okay, boy oh boy. That was a doozy. Alignment was way off to say the least. I knew the toe would be way out up front, but I didn't realize how off the rear would be.
But the new shoes are on! Super happy with how they look!
On the way! Wanted to go for something that would look good on the new wheels. Definitely want to go for a white/black combo with the lugs and still need to cut some decals for the new wheels too. Also protect them before I throw them on
