When I search in my area It shows trucks that are "dealer ordered" or Recently arrived". The rest seem to be customer orders. Almost everyone is listed as "In transit". So I doubt they have been turned down by the customer. It seems that every truck is listed regardless of its status.
I have owed manuals from the time I was 16. I love them. I will miss my manual that I am trading in for the Maverick. However I would not want a manual with a truck. Towing and anything more the street driving is torture on a clutch and much better handled with an auto. I so wish I could...
I have been on my dealer for a few weeks to remove my spray in bed liner and my tri-fold tonneau cover. They have been telling me that they couldn't. I knew it is possible, but I have a backup order with another dealer so I figured I would wait ( I have no shame in placing both orders and...
I have no intention of going off road. I got the FX4 solely for the looks. I got white and with the lower rims and bumper covers the truck looks like a fleet truck. The better rims and exposed tow hooks look better. Along with the bigger dash screen (XLT here) it was worth it for me...
Eco mode is great for city driving, but is not as beneficial on highways/open roads. The loss of pep with eco mode on a highway when you need to pass or merge might not be worth the minimal gains in economy.
Also check with your insurance. My insurance offers 10% over value if wrecked and it is only a few dollars a month. Way cheaper then gap insurance. It all depends on what percent of the vehicle you are financing. My last car I financed 100% (0% interest offer) of it so got cap coverage...
Has anyone with a tonneau cover been scheduled? I know there are constraints, but some are getting scheduled with spay in liners. I haven’t seen anyone say they got scheduled with a cover
I also see dealers have tonneaus in stock so I feel the temptation but I only want to change if there is...
I have heard a lot of people say that the Maverick, Bronco sport and Escape are all built on the same platform. I don't know what that means. In the past different vehicle were built on the same frame and bodies were switched out, but this isn't the case with these three. Also different...
I stated in another post that I will sometime need power to the bed of the truck but not often enough to justify the package with the bed power. but enough to run power through the rear widow to the power plug in the cab. frivolous yes, but for $150 I will take it.
My local dealer didn't want to discuss price. When I showed them my Chapman quote they offered to match. Unfortunately I placed order with Chapman so I guess it will come down to which order comes in first.
There was no agreement with my order. I placed it and that was it. I was told they will negotiate final price once the truck come in. I am assuming they don't care much if I walk from it.
I have a confirmed order (but no build date) though a local dealer. I would like to go with Chapman for the 4% under MSRP, or maybe use that to leverage my dealer into a discount.
Is it possible to switch location of order like that?
