At 6'4'' & alot of extra lbs this is my hope & also why i need the 4 door backseat area to recline. Wish that side shot of the truck on the line had showed a bit more of the seating position/height.
I’m not sure. My only thought is the Escape is the correct pricing & the Bronco Sport has a lot of extra research & development pricing added onto it as well as the hype. If you do a search in your favorite car website you can find some new 2021 Escape’s for as low as $17K. Now that is the S...
Also everyone will need to keep in mind the option of the discount pricing options for Ford [if they allow it for the Maverick is to be seen].
"A" Plan are Ford Motor Company Employees and their direct family Son, Daughter, Spouse, Dad etc.
"Z" Plan are retired Ford Motor Company Employees and...
If the rumors are true, and the base model starts below $20K im hoping a fully loaded 2.0 with AWD from the Bronco Sport would be under $30K. Considering a New Ranger XL 4WD CrewCab is around $28K & up, and the XLT 4WD CrewCab is around $32K & up...i think that is reasonable.
From what little info we know the Maverick sounds like it has what you are looking for. The one thing i would be worried about is rear passenger space. It is going to be tight in my opinion. Id think it is basically the front & rear of the Escape/Bronco Sport without the rear seat slider...
That's some nice arithmeticing there. Those dimensions work for me & my needs. Need to go sit in an Escape/Bronco Sport now. As long as Ford doesn't screw it up it has to be a hit. Id say so far they are doing well.
I'm thinking since the beltline is so much lower than most trucks & the bed depth is shallow they probably wont. Also doesn't the Ridgeline have an under floor access compartment so the swing gate makes sense for the access. I bet if they ever do decide to come out with a Bronco Truck it will...
I agree with the above. I think based on the little info we know & the views of the interior testing mule it has a mixture of Escape/Bronco Sport parts...especially that solid console. The thing I keep thinking is that they have to also be expecting this to go overseas. Either South America...
I remember Nissan offered one years ago...is that still a thing? I think people used it effectively then.
The rear cargo area of the Bronco Sport looks like maybe half of what the bed may be...
The spy shots of the bed do seem small though, but nothing to really reference it either...

I think a good looking bed topper can add a lot to a truck...the aftermarket ones for the Ridgeline are done well. I started an aftermarket options thread with some images of the Bronco Sport with lifts & tire upgrades. Lots of potential.
I think a lot of people will be adding a rack to these...
They can really turn this into a lifestyle truck if they plan it right & add the Bronco Sport off-road capabilities in addition to the aftermarket coming on board as well.
So its pretty good in the Escape. I have a friend that has an Escape & like sit, but its only gas. I agree & will help get them in favor with the government regulations. The idea of a commercial fleet of hybrid vehicles would also boost those numbers & allow companies to get kick backs im sure.
Same here. Just the normal stuff most people do with their truck regardless of the size. Id say its a smaller % that actually use their beds daily [except for commercial of course]. I see this being big with the overlander crowd as well. Its a growing market & not so niche anymore.
