I had to Google it for you, I have a hybrid that does NOT have that button. That lets you turn off and on the auto engine shut-off at a stop. If you want to leave you engine RUNNING then set that button to OFF.
My wife was driving and I was exploring the new Mav and played with that button as we were traveling on a highway down a long steep hill. It didn't turn on until we hit a stoplight at the bottom of the hill and then the truck started lurching at the stop like I've read about here. I noticed...
Well I don't live in my truck like you apparently do... I like the look, you really don't need to do this or even comment at all if you don't. I was trying to be helpful to other Lariat owners who might want to do this on the cheap. I also like the extra light at night.
Well, you are simply WRONG- are you done being negative? The white turns OFF then the yellow comes on just like the Lasfit Switchbacks. It is VERY visible, and the LEDs are way brighter than the stock amber bulbs.
Want the math? The fomula used is Ohms Law V=IR solved for R it is V/I=R. Modern Leds (white and blue mostly) typically need 3v. The input voltage is 12v so the resistor needs to drop 12-3 = 9 thus V=9. LEDs typically need around 10ma (up to 20ma) to light up brightly so I = .01A thus the...
And a BIG BLANK area in the middle that normally only lights up when the turn signals go. TO ME, it looks like Ford forgot to put a bulb in there and in a way, they sort of DID forget. With this mod, you have that blank area be lit up white until you hit the turn signal THEN it goes yellow...
Being a cheap bastard, and wanting to minimize $$ for an experiment I managed to do this for around $13 using Temu:
First for $10 I got 4 of these: 4pcs 3157 3156 LED Turn Signal DRL Light Bulbs White Amber Switchback - The Lasfits are probably a better choice but these are nice a MUCH...
I opportunistically stopped by Auburn Ford (CA) recently and they had an Azure Grey Lariat Hybrid on the lot (what i was planning on eventually ordering). I test drove it, and it "followed me home". I guess I have to keep it. I am really happy I decided to buy it. Luv the color!!
I guess the proper name is "Remote Keyless Entry Pad" and the setting is found in the BCM. Does FORscan have this capability?? Here is a video of some setting it with the dealer PDI(?)
tool:
Hi, I have the recommended obd ii on the way but I am now concerned FORscan will not be able to enable the new wireless keypad that just arrived. Anyone know if it can do that? Also, do they have 2024 support now? Thx.
